I really liked this film. I didn't really know what to expect but I am working my way through Ellen Page's filmography and definitely think it is under appreciated and under appreciated. It shows the fine line between a group that is meant to encapsulate freedom and self expression and a cult.

I really enjoyed this movie. Not just because of Ellen Page, who is always good. But it really hit some really relevant underground subjects. Underneath the grungy, stoner aspect of the film, it really touches on what happens when "freedom" isn't as free as you think it will be. It really lets you take a look at yourself. Once you get out in the world, you think you're really free from the siege of your parents, but you still have to abide by the rules of society. I liked this movie.

This was really bad! Pretentious arthouse drivel. Although shaving her head for this awful film was the reason Ellen Page sported that super-cute short hairstyle in her next movie "Hard Candy." (She really should keep her hair short- it really suits her.) Also, August Diehl wowed in me "Inglorious Basterds" and "The Counterfeiters," but not in this.

I'll put it this way: 3 scenes - #1: Mad Ax "dancing" with Manson. #2: Bat "dancing" with her mother. #3: Bat "dancing" with Mad Ax. Those/these (I forgot the correct tense...LOL) scenes are simply beautiful...heartbreaking. Music is great. WATCH IT YOU FUCKERS! ;)
