Another thought - this is indeed a good video - it would go good with David Helpling's song of the same title, "End of an Era" - although that's a slower, thoughtful ambient instrumental - which might not appeal to many. Music is like that; you can't please all the people all the time. Plus you'd have to contact them and deal with all that hassle of asking permission, etc, etc. But again, this is a good video.

@flyboyandre I didn't mean to sound harsh, it was a jab meant in jest. was responding to "UMG decided to ruin my finale video by blocking the soundtrack." "Crying fowl" is kind of a dated expression; it means basically saying something is unfair. "Crying wolf" means deliberately sounding a false alarm of some sort ;) It's a good video. I DID initially misinterpret the title -- X-Plane is still being developed, MSFS is not. I thought it a a tribute to the 25+ year run.

i have this plane, but it always crashes flight simulator, i dont know why. i asked just flight support and they said: its your graphicas card drivers, the software isnt up-to-date. so i updated it and it still crashes :S :S

Northwest (now Delta) flies an A330 from Amsterdam to Seattle yes. So does Lufthansa and Air France. SAS used to fly an A340 there 6 days a week too.

very nice. the only thing i would suggest is getting a new recorder program so that when you are following the aircraft in "free-view" mode, there arent any of those annoying jitters

I wish the MSFS products had a built in free view camera mode like X-Plane. However, I have worked around that on my later videos by using my trackIR system so you shouldn't see too much of this going forward. I used DBS free walk here and it's not avoidable. However, part of the problem is Youtube's terrible bit rate.

The most disappointing part with this video is the fact that I had to do an audioswap. The original track was superior. That won't happen again either. We all live and learn!

Good point. I would think that Microsoft would incorporate more camera options by default into their sim, making it easier for begginers to get better, more interesting shots without expensive software.

And also, what do you mean that wont happen again? its very very difficult to actually get permission to use a soundtrack... what do you plan on doing to avoid that in the future? I just count on luck ;)

Not counting on luck. However, I have become much more conscious about what music I use and I also play a lot with pitch which helps get around the problem.

Sorry everyone for the change in audio. UMG once again decided to ruin my video by blocking it from being seen in most parts of the world. I had 2 choices to go with. Delete it and upload again or do an audio swap. It was a tough decision but I didn't want to lose the comments so I chose to do the audio swap. Not my song by choice but it will have to do for now. Nothing special my friend. Recorded the flight with FSRecorder and captured with Fraps. All editing was done with Adobe Premiere Elements and Sony Vegas.

NWA didn't stop service. They merged with Delta and is painting their planes as a result of that. However, they're not stopping service.

I really don't have to do anything special except use the presets in Premiere or Vegas during rendering.

Work has gotten extremely busy for me and I want to spend some extra time with my family during those very few spare moments I have these days.

I have also grown gradually more frustrated with the amount of negativity random people are posting so it's going to be a nice change to actually fly the sim without having to worry about camera positioning and the best possible story line.

This clip was thrown together in no time and I used a combination of FS2004/FSX. I didn't think it was much of a clip but wanted to get the message out there via a film rather than just go out in complete silence.
