Nicely restored, shame about the engine. Whats wrong with a lister diesel? which is the right engine, and there's plenty of them out there, go on finish the job properly!!
Hi Baytree, Thanks for the coments just goes to show how realistic my model is for you to think she is a Lister. Lottie is a scale model built to 5/8ths scale and runs on 15" gauge track She is pwered by a petrol engine as where the early Lister Railtrucks
Whby put an LD1 on? The original Lister rail trucks were petrol powered and ran well. Only when spares became hard to find did the owners convert to diesel and the lister engines were most common type at the time.If it was nowdays, it would be a kuboto engine!
The diesel enginr was too harsh on the gearbox, many was smashed due to this...

You could put an LD1 on there with a higher flow hydraulic pump to compensate and you'd have a real Lister diesel-driven loco.
