Hey guys. I experience lag when playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 on my Asus laptop 12.1" 1201N. And my CPU is skyhigh when playing the game. But I have a Intel atom CPU 330 1.60 GHz Dual Core - shouldn't it be able to run the game without any complications? I mean, "can you run it" approved my graphic card which is Nvidia ION...

@Champmeister91 BC2 is defiantly a stretch for your system. If you haven't already, adding more RAM will likely help, but there is something that may help you. If you go to the nvidia control panel, and turn threaded optimization to on, it will force the game to use both processors, if it isn't already. Fiddlying with other stuff in there can help tweaking to, but its better to do it in game if possible.

in the desktop icon, clik in the right mouse boutton and add " -DX9" in the target.

"C:\........\iw4sp.exe -DX9"

Don't forget the space beetween w4sp.exe and -DX9

And after, the game will be run with DirectX 9.0c ;)

@chacharacos do not run it in dx 11, (it prob isn't), lower settings as needed. Upgrade RAM to 4GB. Then if you really want proformence, switch to Windows XP 64bit, or 32bit depending on how much RAM you have.

Basically you have a graphics bottle neck. You're pc is good but your graphics card can't keep up, just upgrade to a modern gaming standard graphics card.

Im debating between the Toshiba T135-S1309 vs. Asus 1201n. Performance wise what packs a better stronger result? What would handle games and HD better? The Toshiba has a 1.3 GHz Intel Pentium SU4100 and a Intel GMA 4500MHD ghraphics card. What advantages and disadvantages does the Toshiba have over the Asus 1201n because they are comparative in price? Thanks

the ion chipset is basically 9400 nvidia graphics. The 4500mhd = good hd quality but shitty gaming quality.

You won't be able to play games on the Toshiba, except for some extremly old stuff from around 2001.

Benchmarks points in 3DMark 05:

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500MHD -- 1235 points

NVIDIA GeForce 9400M (G) / ION (LE) -- 3078 points

Look on Youtube for the keywords ION + gameplay and see some netbooks who have the ION chipset playing even modern games (although on low settings, but playable).

too tkflex the memory in the 1201n runs at 400mhzs x2 which is 800mhzs.

in my memory tab in cpuz it shows 400mhzs not 266mhzs. when you add more ram it goes higher.

even the memory sticks shows 800mhzs on them when i took them out to change memory for overclocking. right now im running one stick 533 which came out of my dell and the stock 800mhzs so i have 3gb and it overclocks better sense it has more head room..

and its not 512mb shared its 256 dedicated and shared is 1087.

NO the ATOM 330 Dual core 1.6MHZ ONLY has a FSB of 533MHZ. SO..... the laptop will CUT off your 800MHZ DDR2 to Max of 533MHZ?

The Speed Tab shows you the Brand/ Kind of battery you have and the Full Speed at which THAT Ram will run.

But if you check the MEMORY tab the one to the Left Before the Speed Tab, It will Say " DRAM FREQUENCY " 266

That means if you have 2 of the Same Ram the Netbook will Run in DUAL Channel, this will Double that Number to 533

Well I know its not running at 800Mhz its Impossible if the ATOM 330 FSB (frontsidebus) is 533!
