No woman - no matter how beautiful - could stand next to Jacqueline without looking slightly frumpy! She had true elegance. She wasn't classically "beautiful" but it was the way she held herself. She didn't walk, she glided. She did nothing to call attention to herself. She weathered disappointments, infidelities and etc. with dignity. Her real legacy can also be seen in her children. She was a very involved mother, without stifling them.
jackie was also full of class and style. I think that she was a role model to many people for generations to come. She was and always will be an inspiration to me. I met her daughter Caroline in 2002.
The dude is his good friend Ben Bradlee, editor of Newsweek and at one time the next door neighbor to then Senator Kennedy. He and Jackie often saw the Bradlees socially.
I thought I responded to this - but I don't see it here. I hope I am not repeating myself. The "dude" is a long time friend of JFK's, Ben Bradlee, editor of Newsweek magazine. They were at one time next door neighbors.
A true American President that showed us morals, the american dream at work and play. The first lady was truly a first lady, me and my generation have viewed this generation during President Kennedy's term and he and his brother speeches and kindness to the world will live on through the old generation solely because 99.percent of the entire world loved President John F. Kennedy and his family:)
Know what you mean. I looked at Jackie as a true role model. Plus I have her in Doll form and the Lifetime Magazine dedicated to her.

@karenofbethany "No woman, no matter how beautiful, could stand next to Jacqueline without looking slightly frumpy!"
After 1 year of marriage a friend said of Jackie ....
"She was wandering around looking like a survivor of an airplane crash"
(Reeves p 116)
Will you admit she had a couple of bad days ?
