I loved this film. It was expected and unexpected all at the same time. Johnny was amazing. His Madhatter is lovable and completely crazy, most of the time. Helen Bonham Carter is so wonderful and I can see the Bette Davis influence. A combination of her Queen Elizabeth and Baby Jane rolled into one. It seemed to me to be a sort of retelling of the Wizard of Oz. Alice/Dorothy, Madhatter, Scarecrow, evil/good witches etc.

I hope this movie is good since it's a fantastic story in print. I'm growing a little bit weary of the casting of Helena Bonham Carter though in many of Burton's movies. She looks and acts exactly the same since "Room with a View"; just different make-up and setting. Yawn. And she doesn't age just like Mia Farrow for the last 50 years-creepy.

Lust Caution was a beautiful but kinda sad movie.----regarding music, listed movie in description. Anywhos, Alice in Wonderland looks cool/interesting. Tim Burton has his own warpy and dark way of creating things but it's pretty cool. I think it really sets him apart from others and you can usually tell when some is his work. :D

It was actually a guy that wrote it, and he was on LSD. The novel is "Alice in the Looking Glass" read it. Disney's movies for the most part aren't original.

The book isn't called alice in the looking glass, that was the sequel. the first one was called alice's adventures in wonderland. The sequel was called Through the looking glass and what alice found there.

Secondly, he wasn't on drugs. He studied english literature at oxford university, and based the novel on a girl he knew called Alice Liddel, who had a very curious mind.

that was a joke, kind of like in the movie theater, just before a movie, they have one similiar with RA (Really Annoying) for phones going off during the film. Though, with Tim Burton, that is most liklely, yes. I hope it's another musical one. I just LOVED Sweeney Todd!!! Even if he did use more than one Barbara Striesand song from her 90's and 80's albums. Which I thought was a bit cheesy, but he still did a fantastic job of it!

It will be released March 5th, 2010, most likely with a PG-13 rating. When I went to see Coraline, some unworthy mother with her 4-year old daughter sat behind me. She wouldn't stop complaining about how scary it was. They left halfway through the movie, with the little girl crying, probably scarred for life. If that wasn't scary at all (it wasn't), then what will small children think of this? Just because something is animated doesn't mean you should let your kids watch it. Think, people.
