  • hal1900 - agree, however the basic redemption yield on a bond is usually quoted before tax (gross) as obviously the issuer doesn't know your marginal rate of tax as an investor.

  • Really good information and well-explained. It's important to note, though, that tax is due on the return, which lowers the percentage further.
