Hello, Wonderful video. Thank you. Would like to know if this is a kit, or something you built. Would mainly like to know where you got some of the parts or measurements if you built the parts yourself, such as the expansion links, expansion link pivots with oilers, etc. Am working on a 4-4-0 that was neglected and many parts missing. I want to run it on air (psi?) as you did here and did such a nice job with it. I have the Stephenson setup also. Thank you very much.

@choft720 Perhaps the 4-4-0 originally came from a set of plans and castings? Little Engines? Allen American? Railroad Supply? If so plans and parts should be available. You might post some pictures to Chaski home machinist, live steam forum, and see if anyone can help identify it. The Chloe is a set of plans plus rough castings from Allen Models A.K.A. Gene Allen in Goleta, CA. You machine all the parts yourself.
@dawizardi Also check out Charlie Dockstader's valve gear program, can't put links in youtube comments, but search for 'charlie dockstader valve gear' and go to the Bitter Creek Western link. you can download the program there and it has every kind of valve gear simulated, you can start and stop and change all the parameters, etc.
mAN THAT IS BEAUTIFUL. HOW MUCH DO THESE ENGINES RUN THO I RUM RMI STEAMERS AND AN ALLEN AMERICAN BUT THIS LITTLE ENGINE HEAR IS AMAZING. JEFFS GONNA BE JEALOUS WEN HE SEES THIS

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have been trying to understand how the Stephenson's valve linkage works and this is the clearest video there is!

Sound like the valve timing is spot on, well done.
