i would like to see a penetration test of the original nyclad ball ammo, from what i understand the non-hollowpoint version was originally designed for penetration, apparently quite effective in penetrating body armor... i know a guy who has a box from before they were outlawed in the 9mm caliber, supposedly the nylon jacket works as a form of lubricant or something, either way would be interesting to see

@cybrmniac I believe the original round was a 158 Gr. Semi Wad Cutter Hollow Point in .38 Special. I have only seen those in photos, but if I come across some I will get it for testing.

That's very impressive going through the denim,

The Nyclads did well in all of the tests, even the snub nose. Its got a plastic coating over dead soft lead. It easily expands even under low velocity.
