@ggm15entertainment @filmproducer07 I find also four parts red and one part green food dye helps look realistic... because sulphur gives blood a slight green discolouration, cornflour and water. It works every time. You can also buy a litre of film blood on ebay- its about £20 but its the stuff actually supplied to film sets and costume departments.

find pictures of blood and a bullet hole preferably with a white background by searching for them in yahoo images or google images. Then insert them the same way as the muzzle flash except instead of adding it to only 3 frames, add it to the rest of the clip. Remember the camera has to be completely still when you shit it also otherwise you will see the picture of the blood or bullet hole move.

i had to pay 3 dollars to register the picture in clip. what you do to insert it at only one point is you split the clip twice: once right when you pull the trigger and once about 3 frames later. then you have 3 separate clips. then add the muzzle flash to the middle clip that is only 3 frames long.

Get a picture of a bullet hole and insert it the same way you did the muzzle flash. Make sure you aim at something that you won't move in front of b/c if you move in front of it the hole will appear to be on you. Oh yeah, and make sure you add the effect to the hole clip if you intend on having something go on after the gunshot.
