When Al Gore championed Global Warming, (I believe this term is now out of favor with the alarmists and the preferred term is climate change), the science of this issue went away. Global warming is by definition global. It's not just about the US. As a result of global warming some areas might actually get cooler, which is why people tend to call it climate change. If the Gulf Stream stops as a result of the Greenland pump melting some places like Northern Europe could get colder because the Gulf Stream brings heat to that region from warmer parts of the planet. There's also issues like the water rising in places like Bangladesh etc. It's not that simple.

I understand the scientific method and why scientists avoid the opinion media. When Al Gore championed Global Warming, (I believe this term is now out of favor with the alarmists and the preferred term is climate change), the science of this issue went away. When the truth/falsehood of man-induced warming is finally known, science teachers will look back on this politicization of scientific inquiry and condemn the behavior of the likes of Al Gore.

I have a doctorate degree and am in personal communication with climatologist/authors. Unlike you, I do not believe CO2 is the primary determinant of climate. Rather, climate is the result of a multitude of factors which climatologists have yet to fully comprehend the interrelationship.

Global warming is by definition global. It's not just about the US. As a result of global warming some areas might actually get cooler, which is why people tend to call it climate change. If the Gulf Stream stops as a result of the Greenland pump melting some places like Northern Europe could get colder because the Gulf Stream brings heat to that region from warmer parts of the planet. There's also issues like the water rising in places like Bangladesh etc. It's not that simple.
