@123NatRoss321 Really? They were born in Liverpool? Did you not see Ringo's house? Isn't Liverpool in ENGLAND? Isn't London a part of England? The COUNTRY of England? Where the Beatles were born? Please enlighten us.
I can't believe you'd criticize me for putting LONDON in the video. Not EVERYBODY knows Liverpool from photos, so it made sense to put in one of London.
And at least I HAVE videos. What have YOU to offer Youtube? I mean, ASIDE from being an asshole? Just asking.
@McCartnee - I have that exact same "Yellow Submarine" wind-up toy with a stand; and the Beatles figures that each came with another character figure from the movie - still in boxes. How much would you say they're worth?
@classiclistener01 From what I gather, they're all about $60-$70 in value. However, the Paul figure packed with Captain Fred was a limited edition, and I think it goes for $100 or so. There's a variant in the Captain Fred figure, but I don't know right now what it is - could be the paint on his hands or on his uniform.
do you actually own that apple bonker with the pink jacket figure??? i can't find it anywhere... i know mcfarlane toys made a lord mayor figure too but im not sure if it was released...
Yes I heard of the Lord Mayor figure, but have not seen him. And yes, I do own all of the Yellow Submarine figures, including the Apple Bonker. Be sure to watch the Strawberry Fields video - the YS figures appear in it, too.
omg my uncle has the yellow submarine toys! we would always lose the submarine and then when we would find it we were like YAY! now lets go play Yellow Submarine in the sink! then...we would lose it again... lol...i would also smell it..it smelt good lol
Did I make them? No, ha ha! They were produced in 2000 by Todd McFarlane - the guy that created Spawn. 98% of the character images you see in the film were taken directly from the internet.
awesome video. if i may give you some constructive criticism, i would like to see them singing all the time. there was part where they where they all were and it was awesome. great vid keep up the work
a very good clip :-D we're fans of yellow submarine movie and music :-)especially the dreadful Flying (and terrifing) Glove (in french : "Gantelet"=little glove)
The characters are from the Yellow Submarine toys that were made a few years back, but ALL of the Yellow Submarine toys in this film are photos I took from the internet. The blue Beatles toys were the only ones I actually used for the film.
The Yellow Submarine figures are discontinued - you can find them on eBay. Look for "loose" figures, as they are cheaper, assuming you'll want to play with them.
The Bratz doll's name is really "Yasmin." The "Vacuum Beast" is really called a "Suckophant." The "Snapping Turtle Turk" is just a "Snapping Turk." Just a few friendly corrections!
After a while, all those Bratz dolls are all the same. I took the other character names from the back of the Yellow Submarine LP, but thanks, nonetheless!
We have much better toys than they had back in the '60s. I have some original stuff that came out to merchandise "YS" in '68 and it was crap compared to the stuff McFarlane has made.
Oh, yeah. I see it now, but with the stereo in the background and all the color-changing "lights," it really looks like they're dancing! Talk about "stayin' alive" as the submarine was being spun!
Ha, ha! Boy, a lot of people on that submarine: Princess Di, Spock/Captain Kirk, Jesus, and Darth Vader! Love the claymation figures! Yes, McCartnee, it's a FAB vid!
Yeah I know - I was eager to post it when I got finished and suddenly couldn't remember what those were called, and the majority of my friends aren't sci-fi geeks like me.
Ebay. Flea Markets. Bizarres. Spencer's Gift Stores. They're out there. The yeloow Sub figs are a little more pricey because they're harder to find, and the Cartoon Ringo figure costs a pretty penny, too!
You'll laugh ... but I watched this film as a child and was immediately inspired to "sail unto the sun ... beneath the waves." After consuming every text I could find on marine biology, oceanography, and oceaneering, I entered the Navy and completed Submarine School at the top of my class. I was certified as a Navy diver for my ship ... and now am considering marine biology for my doctorate.
Never underestimate the influence of art upon the soul.
Good luck finding them! I got them at Spencer's Gifts when they came out. Now you can find them on ebay or at outlet toy stores, maybe even a flea market. Honestly, ALL of the Yellow Submarine figures used in this film are images I took off the internet. My toys remain unopened.
