Interesting that you should bring up incest when so much of it occurs in the bible.
For polygamy, the laws that deal with marriage would have to be re-written to account for it for one thing... There is societal value to recognizing one person that can inherit from and make medical decisions for another. If they do not want to elevate one woman to the status of wife over the others, then it isn't the same relationship between two people.

Society has always been like this! The marriage is from medieval times, when its purpose was keeping a family's properties together! This was the reason a woman's "sins" were strictly punished (as an illegitimate child could had had the family's property), the reason that priests had to stay unmarried (because of the properties of the church, after all), that girls had to marry, etc.
Legally, anything has not changed up to this day. Marriage is a community about two persons's properties.

It is starting to get personal when "same sex" proponents will not be happy until the bible is forbidden and every pastor/rabbi is in jail. I challenge you to attend a church. what have you got to lose?

answer me this: What rights did any gender lose? Both genders can still get married, this whole, "rights" thing shows how something can be taken out of context. All that the People are saying is.."come up with your own invention of a 'title' for a relationship, cause it ain't "MARRIAGE". I am a male, and I am not allowed to use a Female restroom, is that discrimination?
