Even when I was kid and radio was full of the most self regarding arseholes the world has ever seen, he stood out as uniquely false. How he got away with appearing to be a purveyor of fun & jollity I don't know. He seems like the sort of bloke who if you went within 50 yards of his helicopter or house he'd set the dogs on you.
