  • Go get em kitty!

  • Those are Dave salmoni's tigers. The man who speaks is Dave Salmoni, he's training his tigers in africa, where he lives, he trains them lo liberate them in india.

  • this really disturbs me because what i believe has happen, When you introduce another species on to another continent? What you have here is a cat, that is as powerful as a Lion, and can move "somewhat as fast as a cheetah? This is a disturbance of "balance" concerning the food chain. Tigers belong in their native habitat. Lions don`t hunt like that.

  • @robertrka Don't worry, they're just training the tigers to be released in their native India.

  • This is from "Living with Tigers" doc. The project has been proven to be a fraud in 2004. The tigers are unable to hunt, and the film crew chased the prey up against the fence and into the path of the tigers just for the sake of dramatic footage.

The tigers have not been released, and still reside in a small enclosure under constant watch and with frequent human contact. The Discovery documentary contains footage that its maker, John Varty, has admitted on affidavit to be false.

  • @misterclownface you r right ,even i have heard the same story

  • I though ostrich's buried their heads when in danger :)

  • lol ya tigers would beast africa lol that would b crazy and unfair to tigers lol

  • The narrator was mistaken. Not Ostriches but Stool-Pigeons.

  • Everything about tigers is just boss

  • tigers are fucking incredible. the ultimate big cat

  • Believe or not when I went to India to visit family I was attack by a tiger....It clawed my stomach and neck I was very lucky.. It came out of nowhere I did not even hear a growl or roar until it was about to attack it felt like a pro linebacker or somethin tackled me and then stabbed me i will never forget that day and it happend over 9 years ago

  • @thefury187

Yeah but it is not the tiger's fault is it? It attacked you because it was scared! Luckily you survived to watch tigers even though the tiger attacked you! Good for you and I hope you still love them!

  • Humans are always "F"ing with nature. Tigers don't belong there

and Ostriches don't know what the hell they are.

  • @telj1 tigers dont belong there but an ostrich knows very well what a big cat is. do you think if that was a lion it would have acted differently?

  • @crimsom757575 Tiger's are related to Lion's yes BUT they are on another level when it comes to prey.

We could debate about all day BUT my point was that humans do things they shouldn't.

  • @telj1 i wasnt disagreeing with you about the the fact that things like leopons and ligers even exist is proof of that

  • Tigers should not be in Africa. Its the kind that ambushes its prey from the deep jungle. I hope more animals like all the bears, jaguars, etc will not be rewilded in Africa.

  • Damn nature you scary!

  • I like the music in the background when they chase the ostriches.

  • It is very disturbing for South Africans to be mis-managing their resources by introducing an asian cat into the African wilderness. Someone should be shot.

  • wtf what a noob ostrich HAHAHHA

  • @bryanseto92 lol

  • the name of the program is "living with tigers". The concept of the program was to raise 2 tigers in africa which were taken from India.. ..So there are no tigers in Africa..

  • does anyone know where I can find the program this came from

  • That poor Ostrich. The secret to fleeing from a chasing predator is to zig zag. It doesn't work all of the time, but it's better than running in a straight line or angle.

The Big Cats are extremely intelligent hunters. I saw footage of cheetahs taking down an Ostrich with two giving chase, and another hiding in the weeds and surprised attacked the Ostrich when it ran its way.

  • @ZebrasFirst Explain how to "run in an angle".. Sounds an awful lot like running in a straight line.

  • @Zpik3 lol. anyways ostriches are bound to die look at how clumsy they are and fat, but quite fast too. anyways i dont get why its a poor ostrich, it still became a meal

  • @davBIGHOUSE no an animal that is bounded to die is pandas

  • there are tigers in africa?

  • tigers are jst so beautiful and btw tigers are SOOOO much bigga than lions

  • kokoracha100 fuk uu dude uu sound stupid wen uu think ur all right about everything and ur not p.s. shut the fuk up

  • this video is fucked up. the tiger in africa there's not, and then the ostrich racing runs a lot more fast.

  • @kokoracha100 Calm down. You're acting the same as when you were told you couldn't participate in the Special Olympics 100 yard dash.

Remember how much you like Ice Cream??

  • yeh yeh apharot you idiot there are male lions which are 13 feet long and 900 pounds..go search it...tigers are generally smaller than a male lions..male lions also taller...the only tiger that is sometimes bigger than a male lion is the seberian tiger..only 200 left in the world and they not all big just some....so next time dont talk out of your ass

  • dude, your facts are all made up

  • completely wrong, on average a tiger outweighs a male lion by 100lbs. A 13 foot lion? Good lord that is absurd and wrong

  • tiger every thing as a

  • 50 miles an hours mate !! to be exact....ostrich can do up to 50 miles an hours and can mantain this speed for half a mile..

  • @KhmerSerey1 Ostriches can burst up faster than 50 mph for short periods. This is bullshit, lions are faster than tigers and have a hard time catching one of these. I think that ostrich was retarded or something. Ostriches can use their talons to cut back and forth like a champ at 40 mph. Not to mention the fact that its hard to even get close because of their good eyesight and hearing. If they get a running start...a tiger won't catch a normal full grown Ostrich.

  • I think that the ostrich were stunned I mean they are not use to seeing tiger I mean it's like it was so surprising I don't think they knew what to expect. Seeing something that has stripes so maybe its gives a disavantage to them because they never seen them before? does anyone agree with me?

  • not even fast

  • @jugfhj oh really then if its not fast for you then id like to see you run 50 miles an hour

  • Why there are some people say tiger can catch these ostrichs in full speed? That ostrich look so slow and not in full speed...

  • thats becuz its in slow motion stupid cunt

  • No thats not what i meant, that ostrich wasnt in full speed like up to 50mph, this ostrich looks like hes running up to 30mph, therefore hes letting the tigers to catch him.

  • I believe it's just an experiment - the African tigers will continue to live in an enclosure. They are not allowed to roam free and wild.

Funny fact about the African tiger experiment: when the ostriches were first released into the enclosure, the tigers were baffled by these strange new creatures and were even affraid of them! It took quite some time for the tigers to calm down, after which they started to see ostriches as prey. Source: National Geographic

  • is this just an experiment or r they really going to release tigers in africa?

  • tigers live in russia, asia, etc

  • Tiger caught ostrich? But ostrich is faster

  • and how to adapt to African circumstances (which are quite different from those found in Asia)

The goal of the project was twofold. First: prove that tigers are not always the junglekillers we expect them to be, and are much more adaptable then most people (including many "experts") believe. Two: to provide sanctuaries in Africa for tiger subspecies that are nearly extinct in Asia (most of their suitable habitat being destroyed by people in densely populated countries, such as India and China)

  • The video footage is however from a non natural situation: as the Asiatic ostrich has been extinct for millennia, the video must have been made in Africa. Now there are certainly no wild tigers in Africa! So what's all this about? It's about a private project to introduce tigers in a large enclosure (where they would live in semi-wild conditions), in order to teach them how to hunt (the tigers were born in captivity)

  • Well, there is a good reason tigers and lions don't usually live in the same area. Even in Asia, lions and tigers prefer different biotopes, lions roaming the halfopen forests and open steppes and tigers roaming the deeper jungle.

That does not mean tigers can't live in lion habitat, but just that it's not common. Probably due to the fact lions live in prides, while tigers usually don't.

  • all i know when tiger is hungry , he can take down any species...NO MATTER, ORTRICH, Buffalo, etc etc.....Humans too :)

  • A tiger can beat a F1.

  • Asiatic Lions are smaller than African Lions becoz they inhabit dense forests and so they dont have to be that big. Sometimes its also found that asiatic lions, like tigers become solitary rather than living with pride.

The adaptibility of these 2 ultimate big cats is just amazing!

To me.., both are the ultimate King of the Jungle! so there's no question of the versus debate....,

  • jungles in asia are very dense. whereas african jungles are open grasslands. so for the predators in africa it becomes easy to develop great speed while predators in dense forests cant run fast becoz of obstacles like trees, fallen trunks etc.

Thats why they become ambush hunters. But a

Tiger, even in such conditions can run @60kmph while chasing a chittal deer.

Just imagine.., if tigers start living in african plains, they'll easily beat lions and become the ultimate king of the jungle

  • The tiger wont be king of the jungle because: Tiger will NEVER be apex predator in lion's habitat because there are no way that tiger can hold its stand against a pride of lions and maybe spotted hyena clans. Tiger would likely use same lifestyle as leopards..quickly give up their kills to the lions because they cannot afford to get injured, especially with most prey in Africa were more bigger and dangerous than these prey in Asia.

  • No, the male lions would do the fighting, and a male tiger is bigger than a male lion. The female tigers aren't about to start a fight with a male tiger. The real reason they don't want tigers running free in the Savanah is because two apex predators in one area would quickly diminish prey, and run smaller predators, like cheetahs and leopards, out of the area.

  • when does a tiger live on the same continent as an ostrich.....? fucking americans

  • Winner, winner chicken dinner.

  • I didn't know Tigers would be fast enough to take down an Ostrich.

  • I'm confused. Was this on some kind of game reserve, because tigers do not live in Africa and Ostrichs do.

  • They were zoo tigers being retrained by a profession to uncover their hunter instincts.

  • @foxvscnn Look at the video. They are obviously not in a zoo.

  • @kcuf2007 Those are Dave salmoni's tigers. The man who speaks is Dave Salmoni, he's training his tigers in africa, where he lives, he trains them lo liberate them in india.

  • Tigre vitesse 50 Km/h max, autruche 70 km/h

  • @felinou310 calisse tu peux tu etre moin bilingue que sa viens pas comment en francais ya personne qui va comprendre

  • tigers r the most beautiful animals ever!! my favorite

  • you are so right i lo9ve them to

  • tigers are nutz!

  • This is what I love 'bout tigers: they're very powerful n heavy, yet very fast, just the "TOP PREDATOR" as others call it. Love the striped cat!!!

  • But that is a young male ostrich full grown ostriches can kick tigers in the face with 2000lbs of force per square inch

  • Those tigers were cubs too. Fully grown males grow up to 660 pounds, and there is no ostrich in this world able to kill them!

  • Tigers in Africa?

  • just bc ostrich's can reach 40mph, doesn't mean these particular ones were going that fast...

  • yeah that ostrich look so slow and not reach their full speed...
