That's some NASTY stuttering on Far Cry 2, a game which is a cakewalk for a decent mid-range PC. In fact, my Asus G71-GX-A2 runs Far Cry 2 at 1920x1200 with everything, including AA and Anis. filtering set to MAXIMUM, and I still get 60 FPS with absolutely no hiccups.

I had to stop watching when he got to Crysis. Tsk tsk! TERRIBLE. Just TERRIBLE! I couldn't imagine playing at such low settings.

In fact, most Windows-based laptops these days are shipping with 1GB video cards. Mac is stuck in the past.

They're shit, and you're still probably averaging around 20-25 FPS, if you're lucky.

die HD4850 ist vergleichbar mit einer 9800GTX oder GTS250. übrigens gutes video und läuft auch alles gut für 1200€ kann man aber auch was erwarten mein PC hat 800€ gekostet mit GTX260 usw. Da ist die performance noch höher als mit den imac.

Wenn man bedenkt dass im imac ein 24 zoll monitor, boxen, webcam, bluetooth und das ganze zeug schon eingebaut ist, dann existiert tatsächlich noch ein preisunterschied zum pc, der immer noch günstiger ist. Jedoch sollte man noch die Software mit einbeziehen die beim mac einfach for free mitgeliefert wird, wie die ganze ilife suite, für die man bei windows nochmal paar hunderter drauflegen müsste. Und der Kabelwirrwarr fällt beim mac komplett weg.

yeah hab selbst nen 3,06er 24'' imac. bin total zufrieden damit und auch zum zocken ist er saugut geeignet. sehr viele spiele (zb. crysis, far cry 2, gta iv usw.) lassen sich auf all high settings zocken, ruckelfrei!

PS3 games are generally only rendering at 1280 x 720 with a very few actually rendering at 1920 x 1080. PCs allow the user to render at any resolution up to the screen's max res. As for expense, it's an Apple product, so the price is going to be at a premium, but the quality is very good. I wouldn't consider it a gaming computer, but as a computer with very good gaming capabilities that far outclass either the 360 or PS3.

Well yes, but then you're comparing a tower to a all-in-one desktop. And the price difference wouldn't be as much as 1000-2000 USD, you're forgetting that iMac has a 24" H-IPS screen which alone would cost you maybe 900 USD or so.

Also iMac isn't built as a gaming rig, but as we can see here it handles the task pretty well. If you compare it to a PC, compare it to all-in-one PCs and the iMac is clearly ahead!
