You can never pay me to teach here in the US specially the inner city schools, it's like an urban warfare! The students in the Philippines are much more well behaved and respectful. Teachers in the Philippines are respected, revered and loved while here in the US, they are treated like their own parents, no respect. I am so happy and thankful that I went to school in the Philippines. In the Philippines, students want to learn, in the US, all they want is to disrupt the class!
If your an educated person you know that people do not change their intellectual cabilities due to geographic area. In short, student in the Pi and U.S are just thesame. Ang difference lang ay yung devotion of the government to supports its students. Here in U.S we get student loans & we have better equipments. That is why U.S students excel better
"If you cannot beat them jon them!" This is the usual comments of Filipino Teachers in the US. Specially if they are already "disspointed" with some American students.
I've experienced the same situation. I always thought the US education system is far better than any other country even in the Philippines. Well SAD to say, I've been teaching here for almost 6 years and still I missed the way our students learns in our country. I wish ALL out kids in the Philippines have the same luxury as kids here in California. Been long enough in Long Beach Unified School District, I finally realized that I should go with the flow in order to survive!
Hi, I'm curious because I've never experience studying in the US. I spent all my education life here in Manila, so I'm wondering... Can you say that kids in the Philippines are smarter than their American counterparts?
I really can relate to this video....I've been here 15years in US but still experiencing a very tough situation everyday. Every word that Miss Gwen Esguerra are true! I choose to stay here just because of my daughter's future and I am really hoping that I've got the right decision.Yah she is right, we have too much expectation to America. A lot of nonsense things are in our beloved country, the Philippines! But these are the things that will make you really happy & live in PEACE!
