@tomboman200 The neck is actually very thin, compared to a standard Mexican Tele neck. Now try a Les Paul Junior neck...those are like playing a baseball bat....lol
@thearoom I sold it because I have a ton of guitars just lying around, and I believe you shoudl play the hell out of EVERY SINGLE GUITAR you own, never neglect one. They are MEANT to be PLAYED, ya know? I mean, really PLAYED! So, I sold this beauty! Hopefully it's getting some much needed attention!
Hey Im debating getting this guitar, either this or a 72 telecaster deluxe. Both are around the same price, Im wondering if you have played a 72 and which you like better and why. How crunchy can those pickups get?
@theendofacircle i know i'm probably too late at this point but i wouldn't get the 72 if you are looking for a thicker humbucker type sound. they sound very much like single coil pickups rather than buckers. i also own a jazzmaster and it's a shame cause the 72, imo sounds similar but more mellow and thinner sound wise rather than thicker.
@youknowyourrite1 Its all good, I own the 72 thinline, 72 deluxe, and this beast. All are different. The pickups in the 72s are just like single coils but they sound great. This fmt tele handles more high gain stuff better :) thanks for the comment back.
@littletone Sounds awesome. I've done some studying and it's seems like the new ones they make are from Idonesia, and the older ones are from Korea. Thanks for the help!
@littletone i watched a fender explanation on the web about the difference between mim and usa fenders. Here is what is boils down to. Usa= Single pieces of wood-better tuners-better truss rod-better circuitry(more complex-better pickups-better resale value. However some mim sound fukin great.
Hey, I'm thinking of buying this guitar, would you recommend is as a good guitar for metal, rock 'n' roll and blues?

Has the metal on the pick ups/bridge etc started to wear/ change colour on yours by any chance? Mine has.
