  • BREATHTAKING! just breathtaking..

  • I have seen the show and the horses are gorgeous. Very well groomed to. If u get the chance go see them

  • *jaw drops* Hrm... *practices*

  • I prefer the American Mustang myself, rugged, smart, tough and loyal. Worked for conquering the West and for the US Calvary.

  • I've never seen horses do things like this before. My girlfriend was a horse trainer at one time, and turned me to this rare breed. I have to say I am very impressed and would very much like to see this show the next time it is in or near Ga.

  • Only place to see the Lippizaners regularly in the US is in Illinois, at Tempel Farms in Lake County, IL

  • @lilsuzq32 Not really true as They live in Florida.:)

  • @chaos0691

    TEMPEL FARMS

For group sales, private events and performances, or other inquires, please call: (847) 244-5330

  • @lilsuzq32 Thank You! The horses are trained and live in Mamatee county as well. :).

Greetings from a Florida horse lover!

  • @chaos0691 Didn't realize that, guess it makes sense for year-round training with decent temperatures :)

  • I took my nephew to see them at the Exhibition grounds in Toronto years ago...I'll never forget.

I could hardly afford it, as an art student...but it was well worth it.

  • They beautiful horses. But can they use an ipad?

  • ive seen the world famous lippizaners they are amazing d:

  • I am so in love with them! My own mare has lipizzaner blood, but I always thought she looks like her father (a "normal" german warmblood stallion with famous german blood lines). Now I realize that she has more than only the colour and the talent from the lipizzaners - and I am so proud :) And I hope one day I'll get a foal from her and a lipizzaner stallion :)

  • The horses in this video are amazing. I never imagined a horse could be so graceful. I live in NYC and I'm used to seeing the clumsy carriage horses in Central Park, or the occasional police horse. I want to see this show someday.

  • Gorgeous horses. stunning absolutley stunning :D

  • They are Slovenian horses and they are soo beautiful.

  • when i first saw these on youtube and google i thought they would be huge! then when i saw one up close, i realized i was wrong! 15.9 hh!

  • @fresiansrus 15.9 would technically be 17.1 hh, there isn't a .9 because it only goes to .4 not to be mean or anything just saying.

  • My grandmother tells me stories of how she grew up with these horses in her country of Slovenia :) I hope to go there one day and see these beautiful creatures in the flesh! :D

  • Wow! Beautiful! Artistry and Athleticism! ♥

  • There is so much beauty in the way these horses perform.

  • incredible.

  • The pah de do is French: pas de deux, the steps of two. It is two riders performing together.

The pah de twa is: pas de trois, the steps of three.

  • the pa da do???

  • Believe you me, they wouldn't let those horses be in any paint whatsoever. They're worth thousands, if not millions

  • "the pa da doo"

  • "the pa da doo"

  • "the pa da doo"

  • Thank you! I can enjoy the show without feeling like the horses are being mistreated.

  • Does this hurt the horses?

  • @fred6059 No, it doesnt hurt the horses. Horses are really agile by nature, and they can perform way weirder movements than what you see here. Dressage simply trains what is already there. :)

  • @fred6059 No these horses are vary much loved and cared for.

  • they are from SLOVENIJA and what is talking is BULLSHIT!!!!!!

  • what amazing horses, i knew horses could move like that, but not exactly like THAT! i used to think dressage was boring, even if i do ride at a dressage barn( the barn teaches everything, not just dressage) but now, i can look at dressage in a whole different way!!!

  • two timpis???? whaaa?

  • @sarahdoodle14 A lead change every other stride.

  • went and saw them!!! and loved it. feeling the hoofs beat on the mats under my seat, soo rememberable. =] i wanna see them.

    mezair♥

    capriole♥

  • IT'S JUST NOT POSSIBLE!! The Lippizaners are soo beautiful... I could never do anything even NEAR this with my own horse... -.-' :D

  • The Lipizzaner makes me hard in me TROUSERS!!!! Suck it haters. Suck it hard.

  • They have this floor material beacause it is useful to scribe the urine and poop spots off. It is pressed paper. Very slippery. That's why the horses do one to two capriole and courbette jumps.

  • I am going to see them this weekend. They are so beautiful!

  • why are they performing on such a hard floor? That's not very healthy for the horses. especially if they are doing the capriole and piaffe.

  • @jory84 That's probably an exception. These are extremely well taken care of. After their career they will have a place that beats a five star hotel. Huge stables, huge fields, best food a horse can wish for. If you have never seen them being trained or performed then don't say what is healthy or not. These horses are worth a fortune.

  • I used to work for this show.

It's all about show biz...Horses and employees are being mistreated. Everyone is worned out. No one cares about anything. Same show different town.

Horses travel from show to show covering sometimes 500ml between towns.

Horses Doing the same old thing year after year 'till they can't do it anymore.

Riders are tired from travelling on wheels across the country. I still have nightmares about this show.

  • @mkizimov1 ouch!!! I had an idea that it wasn't being done for the love of horses and riding, as far as I could see from the hard ground, and a bit of the horses' body-language the people in charge don't seem to know much or care much about horses. The horses still seem to have a good relationship with the riders and handlers, I hope that is so.

  • @mkizimov1 You're not talking about the Vienna show do you? Because those horses only leave Vienna for a show once a year. The horses in Vienna are taken very good care of and aren't abused. Also they enter their first show when they're at least ten years old.

  • Having up to 8 shows a week. They simply don't care anymore. I used to sleep in the barn with them (-10F) covered with 2 dirty horse blankets. Not fun.

Peaople clapping, paying, buying souvenirs that's where money come from for the owner. I saw people leaving their job at this show after one day of being with it.

    Realizing how fake everything is.

  • it's really beautiful this show with the horses but there are also other wonderful things about what the horses can do with riders. For example, in Camargue there is very summer in several villages parades of horses with toros (male cow) in between the horses.

  • Going to see them in Danville, IL tonight! :D

  • My God those horses are clean... probably cleaner than me! It would take a week of washing to get my babies that spotless.

  • they're coming to my town later this month....looks pretty cool

  • Majestic and beautiful. Simply put. :)

  • I love the Lipizzaner Horses. Maybe someday I will be able to have one of my own. They have always been my favorite breed.

  • this is BOREING I HATE IT (but pretty horese) <3

  • @hooplover09

If you find this boring then you clearly have no appreciation for fine horsemanship. congratulations.

  • Truly magnificent!

  • its sad that there are less than 3,000 left in the world :(

  • gorgeous

  • Amazing!

  • WOW!! i'd would of LOVED to see them! lucky u!:) take me too!!lol

  • Such beautiful horses!

  • @sportygirl869 Yes they are a cross breed of ancient Slovene - Karantanian domestic white horse, Andalusian horse and other Iberian horses. "Lipicanec" (Lipizzaner in german) comes from term "Lipica" ("little linden") - also a town and stud farm in modern Slovenia...

  • I've seen this horses perform live, that are magnificant.

  • Are only Stallions able to perform this way, or can geldings and mares do as well ?

  • @durgaaa if trained properly, almost any horse without extreme conformation faults can perform to this level of dressage.

  • @jeana89 Then please say why this video makes a big deal about them all being Stallions and how difficult and dangerous Stallions are.

  • @durgaaa because they can be difficult and dangerous. but the lipizzaner stallions have been travelling and performing for a long time, and they're stunning. like they say in the video having 8 stallions being ridden so closely together, they have to have the right tempermant, and tons of training this way

  • @jeana89 -yes, that is my point. Why don't they use geldings or mares since they cane be equally beautiful and equally trained, but NOT dangerous, like stallions?

You said "almost any horse can perform to this level".

  • @durgaaa because historically, when the second World War was under way, only the stallions were available to The Spanish Riding School. Also stallions may be dangerous, but mares can be even worse when in heat. Also, why use a gelding? Why cut off the lines of such a rare breed? There are only 3,000 horses left, so why shrink the gene pool even more by removing a virile stallion from the mix?

  • @Demonluv87 -logical, and thanks. But with such a small population, why aren't efforts made to breed and increase this population of horses? It would seem that this is the most important thing to do. Do you know why the population is so small if the stallions are virile?

  • @durgaaa The population is so small because there are so few purebreds left. Like any other pure bred animal, there is a great deal of inbreeding going on, and with breeds like the Lippizans who have so few in their numbers (relatively speaking) the ability to breed better stock is slowly diminishing. Lipp advocates are hoping to strengthen the breed through crossing other baroque type horses into the lines, but horse breeding is a slow process. 11+ months for 1 foal/mare

  • @durgaaa They mainly use stallions because of the way they're bulit. Since they have more muscle and are stronger bulit, only the stallions can preform the "Airs above ground" movements. Geldings *can* be sued but are usually not because in the spanish riding school the only horses used where stallions.

Everything stated above was taken from a book on Lipizzaners.

  • @jeana89 not true...it depends on the animal's conformation because, though I love them dearly, I do not see a Shire or any other draft horse pulling off such movements like the "air's above the ground". They are not built properly for it. That being said, draft horses can perform at lower levels of dressage...but nothing that lipps and other warmbloods/baroque horses can

  • @Demonluv87 ..yea, i said that in my previous comments.. if they have major conformation faults, it makes the discipline more difficult, and can limit the horse's potential to a certain level. I've seen morgans, thoroughbreds, arabians (a wonderful little 15.1 quarter horse/arab cross) etc. perform tempis and canter pirouettes

  • @durgaaa geldings and mares can perform, and also other breeds (lusitanos or spanish breeds for example, since they have strong hindquarters and could perform the airs above the ground), but having all white stallions makes it more "romantic"

  • Gorgeous. Just Epic.

  • What incredible training and patience with horses and riders. Takes YEARS to get this good and ungelded stallions are a handful ! What amazing riders.

  • They came to my hometown and did a show. I was very honored to have seen their show.

  • DESPERATELY NEEDING HAMC FOR MY LIPPIZZANER'S KNEES. HELP!

  • DESPERATELY NEEDING HAMC FOR MY LIPPIZZANER'S KNEES. HELP!

  • Amazing. My grandmother told me about them when she came over, and asked me if we could look them up on the internet, as she wanted to show me them as well as find out some things her self. I find the best trick they did was when they rear up and then jump and kick out with their legs in midair, using only thier back legs (thank god they don't try have them land on their back legs after doing that). I also have never seen a horse walk sideways before, and let me say it was amazing.

  • I have 8 Lipizzans, I just adore them!! They are unique and special like no other horse! They just have such a personality!! Such a good friend and love! Shame they are so little known. In my country (I live in Croatia) they are tradition and we have the most of this horses in world!!

  • Wait... I don't get it. All of these nice fancy movements it takes years to perfect... My horse does the "mazire" all the time... When she's pissed! I call it the phenomemon or rearing.

  • @MalibuChick105 It's about the control of the movement and being able to do it on command

  • @MalibuChick105 --yes, dear, but the difference is that the Lippis do it on command and in concert with their riders. Do you get it now ?

  • @MalibuChick105 then it is not the mazire....it is a horse being disrespectful of its rider and becoming a potential health hazard.

  • I saw these magnificent animals and their riders perform locally a couple of years ago. They truly are wonderful!

  • They are so pretty. It would be a dream to ride on! i love how they do it at the same time1 x

  • Okay, seriously? To those of you ragging on the riders, I would absolutely LOVE to see you do what they're doing. Especially the Capriole under saddle. Yes, they are swishing their tails, but if you do me favor and look at any Dressage video on here, you will see tail swishing. This tour features TWO Baroque breeds: Lippizans and Andalusians. Big freakin deal they're not all Lippis. Majority of them ARE. By the way, they never say they are of the SRS so quit speaking as if they had.

  • @hlsalone some one who understand :) thank you!!!!

  • @hlsalone

No, but calling your show 'The World Famous Lipizzaner Stallions' implies that they are the SRS, as that is where most casual viewers and riders alike know the breed from. I know that some of the horses were bought from there, and there are other affiliations, but it is quite misleading. The amount of comments asking if they are the SRS prove that.

  • @hlsalone the shows that we see by the world famous lipizzaner stallions is simply an authentic presentation of this style and the show is not affiliated with the spanish riding school

  • @220jen I am QUITE aware of this. Please re-read my last sentence of my main statement before making an incorrect comment. "By the way, they never say they are of the SRS so quit speaking as if they had."

  • @hlsalone

Lippizaner, as friesian, mustang, azteca, norman, peruvian, etc etc etc, has its origin in the spanish horse, in this case the andalusian

  • @hlsalone

even the Vienna dressage school is of Spanish origin

  • Your disapproval of these riders says that you are not a dressage rider. If you were you would understand how wonderful they are as riders. Maybe they are not as polished as the men at the Vienna Reitschule, but they are very very good. No, not all of them are Lippizan, as they even say one is an Andalusian Stallion as well... but wouldn't it be nice if you could applaud the effort to share these magnificent animals and riders to the Western world?! Or perhaps you think you can do a better job?

  • If you look me up you will see ive seen these guys perform. I only have bits and pieces of the wonderful performance. Im so pleased to see this again its so wonderful to watch. This is excellent why cant people just enjoy it and not argue its just poetry in motion. These horses which i met after the show are treated like royalty as all should be. Thanks again for sharing this thumbs up all the way

  • Truly Beautiful

  • Doesnt matte anyways the douche that uploaded it thinks they know everything about horses. Thanks for watching that vid of mine retard. I play guitar not drums so I really couldn't give a shite what you thought of it. I was tired and on a half kit and I didn't upload it myself in the first place!

  • Son maravillosos, que bonito es el saber, que en el mundo, existen personas, dedicadas a preservar este hermoso animal,y sus destrezas!!!!!

  • Very majestic animals

  • @deeallen2 I don't no, but i don't want a faky anways, have a nice day :P

  • woah, the jumping is so cool. whenever they get up on their hind legs i love that(:

  • In 0:30 -0:40 the horse on the right does -not look happy. That swishing of his tail would cost him and his rider in a dressage show, because that means he isn't liking what he's doing and has been forced into doing it, not that he is choosing to do it.

As for the stallion with the gray mane, it's likely he hasn't fully reached maturity. Lipizzaners are born black and go gray later.

  • @aiyanaslily Nope. The gray-maned horse is an Andalusian. These Lippizaners are too old to still have black. Plus, if you listen, the man says these horses don't begin training until 3-4 years old. Way past maturity.

  • @hlsalone Well, not technically. The Lipizzaner doesn't actually reach full maturity until later than normal horses. They are fully white until 6-10 years old, so even if the Andalusian were a Lipi instead, and was only 4 or 5, it's entirely plausible that he would still have black hairs on him.

And to your other comment, I've seen a lot of other dressage videos on here, and it isn't often that I see horses wringing their tails around like that. They would still be counted off for it.

  • @hlsalone maturity is a variable term...horses are believed to be "mature" enough at training at 3 years old, but in all honesty and horse is not physically mature for work until at least 5 years old when the epiphyseal plates on their bones have stopped growing

  • sometimes a Lipizzaner can remain brown, i saw one in the temple performance. Theyre considered lucky

  • I love horsies!

  • Exquisite animal.

  • There are less than 3000 in the world today, but only 48 purebred Lipizzaners that still perform :)

  • wowowowowow, arab lipizzaner X are amazing too!

  • those aren't the real stallions are they? becose one has a way too long mane, and the gray dapled ones they don't have those Oo'. and those air moves aren't that great, horse puts his leg back down. i mean i could never do that, but still, having seen the real ones, this seems way less good.

  • @PoulnabroneModesty

No, they're not. They're an American (I believe) company. Some of the horse are Lipizzans, but they're not the world famous horse from Vienna.

  • @FinlandiaWhiteEyes who gives? at least we have lipizzaners... and ours are just at beautiful as vienna's... so seriously stop bagging on us

  • @xgrandprix15

I...wasn't? Somebody asked if they were the real stallions, and I said they weren't, because they're not. Of course yours are still just as beautiful. It's hard for a Lipizzan or an Andalusian not to be beautiful. I never denied that.

  • @FinlandiaWhiteEyes im not denying they arent all lip's also but they have a segment for the andalusians and they would NEVER try and pass off andalusians as lip's

  • @deeallen2 I know I couldn't do it with my horse! These animals are amazing!

  • I've seen these horses in person and it was awesome! It's something to see for sure!

  • They make half-passing so easy! I love the flowing mane! Absloutely beautiful horses. By their performance, they don't look like late bloomers. I relize many of those moves are very hard from my experince.

  • i love horse and i saw the real show

  • To weanamadl: Easy now... This is not the Spanish Riding School in Wienna, but they do it great..

Can you do it better??? I think they look nice, music is nice, horses are nice, show is nice..!! Yes, not the SRS, but they don´t say that they are!!!!

So I can´t paint a picture, because I´m not Picasso.?

  • they are so pretty i want to see that show

  • The wear small knob spurs. There is no injury to these horses, just a nudge that they respond to. It is not like the big Western Star Spurs. Don't worry, these are really skilled riders.

  • LADIES... See Stallion King Arthur featured in ROMANTIC movie clip A knight and his lady

  • Lipizzaner - best thing that came from from Italy

  • ITALY??!! Ancestors of the Lipizzaner came from Spain about 800 A.D. and then bred to perfection by the Habsburgs - Austrian nobility with the help of Spanish breeds such as the Andalusian. Otherwise Lipica is in nowaday Slovenia, where first stud farms where established (thats where the name comes from).

  • @cubalibre2233 you obviously had a bit too many cuba libras

  • Wikipedia says that the Andalusians were breed with the local (Kras) horses, thats how they made the Lipizzaner horse.

Lipica (modern Slo) was for a long time part of Italy

  • @Mik5OO you are a noob for looking up information on wikipidea. I think ill go on there and change the info to "Originated in Africa" and see you post in here "oh wait it came from africa"

  • @saranglinux

    omg, how funny

  • @cubalibre2233 They are ancestors of Slovenian Karst horses and arabic horses. They originate from Lipica (Slovenia). It is true that Spanish riding school was brought to Vienna and for their performance they use lipizzaner horses and this is only connection with Spain. Slovenia was centuries part of Austro-Hungarian monarchy but after WWI part of Slovenia was occupied by fascist Italy. During fascist occupation Mussolini tried to make lipizzaner for Italian parade horses.

  • @Mik5OO you mean spain

  • @Mik5OO Lippizzaners do not come from and have nothing to do with Italy.

  • That piece of shit is using spurs.

    Asshole.

If a horse likes you they will do anything for you.

I was angered at this video. boooooo

  • i totally agree. people who think theyr great riders while using whips or spurs are ignorant idiots.

and whats with the "dressage works off of a horse's natural tendencies"?? doesnt look natural to me.

  • @HavvahartKL Dressage IS natural, take the passage for instance, my horse just did a passage in the pasture today when he met a new horse. All those movements are completely natural.

  • @Mssilverfur9 You f#$^^N stupid nag! You obviously dont know shit about horses!!

  • Can't wait get to see a Lipizzaner Stallion show this evening at the Toyota Center!

  • wow that Lipazzaners mane is soooo long and beutiful

  • So Canbrelat you may be a better rider as you have presumed? However Royal your school? I question the authenticity of that!

  • Canbrelat- Sorry if I have insulted you but I think you have luxaries I do not. I think Mexico had to hide behind hemophilia because it didn't have a strong enough army to defend its betterment. Portegual is nice because it took the best of Spain & France. Catholism is just not the way to God! Its merely warfare that has even ruined Italy's throne.

  • Not to be rude but I guess I must ventilate a bit. England's posing Royalty has sucked the wealth & vitality out of the real royal blood.

  • Canbrelat- yes he must..however what royalty do you have? Speaking of which I have a couple of saddles for sale if anyone is interested. One dressage & one all purpose hunt seat. I probably will never ride again. I may have $1 in change & a negative bank balance. This is the life of the highest Queen in the world. I've so wished someone out ranked me. It scares the hell out of me when Jesus won't even claim that. England's over, America might fall now. Canbrelet your royals are infantile.

  • MUST keep practicing, He still has much to learn, GREETINGS FROM THE ROYAL SCHOOL OF EQUESTRIAN ART DE JEREZ DE LA FRONTERA

  • Very poor performance compared to the original spanish riding school in Vienna! The americas are like chinese , copy, copy copy!

  • Awesome

  • This so isn't what it looks like...anyone who knows horses knows these aren't the Spanish studs, and that a lot of what is done isn't what it appears to be. Any horse person can see the flaws and problems with horses, riders and rider styles and techniques...it's atrocious and disgusting for any horse person to see...i hate the deception the public is subject too...they aren't even lipizzaners, they're just Andalusians who are white.

  • These shows are cop-outs, a lot of the 'lipizzaners' we see, are just Andalusian horses that are white...and if you get up close to those horses, you see their joints are all swollen and damaged from the toughness of the work. This work is in truth inhumane, and the horses we are told to be lipizzaners, aren't always...it's stupid!

  • Although I do find it mildly amusing that they say Austro-Hungarian. Prehaps it is pretentious of me but it was almost as if subtle innuendo to indicate to Elizabeth II that they can stay in England. I always did adore Hungarian women, just ask the Gabor sisters.

  • 2:52 Thats one of the most beautiful manes I have ever seen on a horse! Did I see on a salute there a couple of female riders? Am I mistaken or was it not customary to have all male riders on these stallions? Refreshing to see a few women riders. It must be an woman's liberation movement. Or a Matriarchial Royal statement to honor Queenship of the former Austrian-German duel thrones & the throne of Spain.

  • I am soo exited becouse i am going today!!!!!in three hours ...

  • You don't know how much this video has helped me with this assignment I have been doing for agessss :)

  • I actually had the pleasure of seeing them perform a couple weeks ago... It was amazing!

  • Some odd years ago, these horses stayed at my barn while they came to our area in NY. These are not the stallions from The Spanish Riding School in Vienna. These guys (and gals) have absolutely nothing on The SRS. To people who aren't trained correctly in Dressage or look at this as entertainment, love it. But my trainer and friends of mine couldn't watch it without going "What the... Waaait a minute.." It's misleading and saddened me when I found out it wasn't the SRS Studlings.

  • I want to see this so bad. D:

  • Did they change the no stirrups thing? Last show I saw in Vienna the riders didn't use stirrups, at least not at the show anyway, I'm sure they use them for practice or training.

  • @sr14225 They arent the vienna school ones tho!! The Vienna ones never use stirrups! x

  • @sr14225 in america they use stirrups for some reason... they look better with out stirrups though... im also pretty sure they rode the horses in vienna also when they did the caprielle thing where they jump and like buck in the air

  • omg i love these horses there beautiful......i want one!!!!

  • and yes in the true Spanish riding school many exercises are done without stirrups. These riders in this show are often crude in their aids to the horse and they don't sit their horses as well as the cream of the crop riders from the Vienna School. Riding without stirrups would help improve that.. Good riders but not "Excellent".

  • I had tickets for Sunday in Charlotte to what I thought was the World Famous Lipizzaner from Vienna. I just found out that this is not what it appears to be. Still beautiful horses and probably a great show but not The World Famous ones and I am not sure how these horses are trained. I know
