I can see the point about not having deer as pets, they can't produce offspring with the wariness to avoid people, cars etc. BUT! There is NOT a shortage of deer ANYWHERE in this country. In Helena MT the deer pop was so high they allowed people to shoot deer with bows IN TOWN! So while people really shouldn't have deer as pets, it's not that detrimental to the species, and no one is really breeding deer as pets, so it's really not that big of deal.

@JUKIO01 In some states, you do need a permit, but it's illegal to take them out of the wild. Even if your state allows you to own a deer, you have to purchase one froma licensed breeder.

fyi, the human body needs protein to survive, otherwise it cannot produce new cells and makes it harder for the body to replace damaged tissue. I'm not saying the protein has to come from meat, you could probably just take supplements. I don't like meat myself cause I can't digest it, I only get sick. On a side note, they were calling the deer "him" and "he", and I'm very certain its a doe.
