  • That is too much ... So adorable

  • My ferret is albino at her head, but the normal brownish from the neck down... o-o

  • Thats pretty impressive =)

I been trying to teach both of mine tricks, but they'll only sit pretty for me =P

  • O mom.jm

  • how did you train him to hi 5??...too cute.

  • @Jessiicahh44 You first need to teach them the "shake hand", or give "paw".

  • I really want to teach my two some of these. Do you mind telling me either how you trained Demon or what website you went to? By the way Demon is a beautiful ferret, I've always wanted a silver one XD I have a basic sable and one that is very white creamy color, with very little dark tint on her back

  • @XxTreetailxX Website ? hahaha It doesn't matter if you are trying to teach trick to a dog, cat or ferret ! Its the same thing : you are playing with your pet's natural behaviours ! They already know all these tricks, they already doing it whenever they want to ! All you need to figure out is - with a tasty treat - how to make yourself clear. Every pets is different, so its really hard for me to explain how I did this with my furkids.

  • @titannikk Some ferrets learned a trick because they see another one doing the same trick and got a reward. Some ferrets will do this for a treats, some for a toy ! The only tips I can give you is: Always make the trick sessions short and fun ! Let your pets figure out what you want from him/her or he/she will never learn ! Make sur your pet know a trick before teaching him another one. To make a voice command only, first started with a hand signal until the pet understood the word.

  • @titannikk XD Well in that case I think it will be easy to teach Katie, now Bella on the other hand might take a bit more time.

  • OH MY GOD! I want one :D

  • I about died when he rolled over! SO CUTE! XD

  • the video is even cuter with snowflakes falling down

  • up! up!

    *rolls over*

    Lol

  • @titannikk ,

well, i like yor ferret. i want one like that they are a mixture between sable and a white/albino color, really cute.

  • @TheFerretlover11 Thank you. Demon was a Black Roan Mitt. He started changing color around 2 years old. At 3 years old he was a Silver.

  • @titannikk aww.. your welcome

  • @titannikk so cute!!!! how long did it take you to teach him all those tricks? awwwww

  • @LilSzmydy 2-5 minutes each tricks. Ferrets are highly intelligent.

  • @davidthe1

    yep you are right

  • @davidthe1 OK ty for advice

  • If i get a ferret should i get two ause if i get one there lonely :(

  • @madelinegrace1 you would peoblbly need to and if you cant aford one get a stuffed one. it will be alright.

  • I wish I could teach my guys this. Except they're both so spoiled they're probably just laugh at me and run away, lol.

  • Hey I have a question for you....

What do you feed your ferret?

Where should a get one? (not PetSmart or PetCo..!)

I know they are high maintnance but i'm really trying to get one of these cuties! ♥

  • @1unnessecaryliedown4 I suggest you to read some books such as Ferrets (Animal Planet Pet Care Library) by Vickie Mckimmey and Ferrets for Dummies (2nd edition) by Kim Schilling. I feed my ferrets a mix of EVO Ferrets Food and Orijen Kitten Food. I also give them duck soup daily (1 jar of chicken baby food - chicken and broth only- mix with a can of Go! Natural grain free chicken, trukey and duck formula for cat - you can also use EVO 95% chicken, duck or whatever and I add a dash of Furovite).

  • @1unnessecaryliedown4 In U.S.A. and Canada, most (to not say all) ferrets are farm ferrets. Marshall ferrets, Real Canadian Ferrets, Path Valley ferrets, ect. We don't really have the choice of a "reputable breeder". However, you can always consider adopting a ferret from a rescue. Ferrets lifespan is known to be 6-7 years, but because of all the illnesses and cancers they can get, books should say they live on average 5 years old =(

  • @titannikk omg.. it is 8-11 years.. come on people get it right..

  • @TheFerretlover11 I think I'm experienced enough with American/Canadian ferrets to know they live on average 5 years old. They can live 6-8 years. Most will experience different diseases or/and cancer around 5 years of age. In america/canada, ferrets are farm ferrets (for the most part) and they are pretty prone to illnesses. They are neutered at a very young age, making them more prone to experience adrenal disease and other illnesses.

  • @titannikk okay. sorry

  • @1unnessecaryliedown4 The 3 most popular disease in ferrets are ; Adrenal disease, insulinoma and lymphoma. All are cancer. Lymphoma can hit ferrets as young as 4 months of age. They call it "juvenile lymphoma" and its a very agressive form of the disease.

Ferrets do better in pair, because they are very social, but they do grief the lost of their companion. Because of this, some people choose 3 as the perfect number of furkids.

  • @1unnessecaryliedown4 I have two Marshall's ferrets I got from a local pet store, and I have absolutely no complaints. I especially recommend Marshall's because they come neutered or spayed and de-glanded (they have almost no odor. I don't notice a smell at all unless I stick my nose to them.. then they just smell like animals, as all animals have a scent). I would recommend finding a local pet store, as they tend to care for their animals better. Good luck!

  • @maggiemonsterrrr While Marshall's ferrets are generally healthy, it is still better to buy a ferret from a shelter or a private breeder. Ferrets from Marshalls and pet stores are generally spayed and de-scented at an earlier age, and this has recently been linked to some cancers that are common in ferrets, such as adrenal.

Plus, who wouldn't want to give a little fuzzy a second chance and adopt from a shelter?

  • @KHsora131 This is all well and good but how can you find a ferret breeder...? :/ I have a soft heart so I don't know if I can handle shelter ferrets who would likely die off more quickly and have a variety of disorders. I have already poured several thousands of dollars into my Thor trying to treat him...

  • @KiwiPurin Well, you can try the internet for starters. Just search for ferret breeders in your area. You could also try talking to a local shelter or pet store, they might have some ideas. If you know someone with ferrets, you might try asking them as well.

  • @1unnessecaryliedown4 i have a website with all of this information! visit ferretsuandi.webs.com..

  • @TheFerretlover11 Hi, your website lack of info and you have several "mistakes". Ferrets' ears don't need to be groomed. I know several ferret owners that never clean their ferrets' ears and they are clean ; never got any ear mites. When you see smelly, dark wax ; its ear mites and you need to see a vet (you'll also need Revolution Mauve).

  • @titannikk well it is always good to clean them though and sorry. but some people think that ear cleaning is a type of grooming. my apoligies. i will fix that.

  • @TheFerretlover11 Yeah, I do clean my ferrets' ears when they really need to, but I always make sure its not ear mites (dark wax and bad odor in ear). I also bath my ferrets if they are dirty .. Too much bath time cause dry skin, dull fur and more problems down the road. Its ok, we are all always learning with ferrets ;)

  • @titannikk

well i just looked it up and yes, grooming is a part of ear cleaning. so youve got it wrong. :)

  • @TheFerretlover11 Haha I didn't got it wrong. Its a part of grooming HOWEVER, ferrets DON'T NEED to be groomed unless they need to. Bathing your ferrets too often result in dry and itchy skin and a bad odour. Cleaning their ears too often cause more build up of wax and can damage the ear drum. LEAVE YOUR FERRETS' EARS AND BODY ALONE UNLESS THEY NEED THE GROOMING STUFF !

  • @titannikk okay fine you are right but that dont matter because i like to make freinds. sorry but i looked it up and you and me are right so can we all just be freinds? it is really annoying how i cant make that much freinds but i am hoping we can just be freinds. so bYe!

  • @TheFerretlover11 Good ferrets food are actually EVO, Orjen (kitten), Go! Natural Grain Free, ect. The first 5 ingredients should be meat (no "by-products"), the fruits and vegetable should appear AFTER the first five ingredients and the food should be grain-free (no corn, no soy, no wheat, no barley, ect)

  • @titannikk my ferret get yogurt banana treats ...no meat in it at all ...amd she only gets them if shes good after playing and going back to her cage ..and then as food i got the best dry food possible at my local petstore ....special for ferrets !!

  • okaythanks

  • @1unnessecaryliedown4 we take good care of our ferrets at petco thank u very much

  • @1unnessecaryliedown4 at any pet store you can get ferret food, but you can also in addition feed them some meat BUT NEVER feed them any other human foods, it will block their system and kill them. Mine came from craigslist with original birth certificates... and had everything in medical terms taken care of. Theyre not to hard to care for. bathe them once every 2 weeks, and clean the cage out every week. They are very smart and easy to train. Best of luck to you!

  • rollover was the sickest

  • That ferret is so cute! He is a black-eyed white with pattern!

Tumbs up if you love ferrets and you really want one!!!

  • @lucygreengrove

Demon is not a DEW (dark-eyed white), he is a silver. He used to be a Black Roan Mitt when he was a kit, but around 2 years old, his markings have changed and he's now a silver.

PS : Ferrets are very HIGH maintenance pets and they are such short-lived species :( but they are really smart and lovely <3

  • good boy ! :)

  • Really great tricks!!! He's awesome and you are too, to train him. I never trained my ferrets to do half of that. I was just happy with coming when I called (really helpful to get them out of the couch), climbing up my to my shoulder on command, and using the litter box (though really they did that automatically). Wish I'd thought to try real tricks. People really dont give them enough credit.

  • Aww, so cute, I cant wait to start teaching mine tricks

  • my ferret knows roll over , come here and up (up being get on my shoulder and lets walk around). ferrets have amazing balance. (as demonstrated by Damon) love this video.

  • Ferrets are extremely intelligent same with pigs

  • How do you teach him to play dead

  • Woah! I had no idea ferrets could respond to verbal commands! At first I thought it was just coincidence, you raise your hand so he goes up on his hind legs to get the treat thats in your hand... but nope. Certainly not the case in the circle and roll over trick!!! Great job, I am really impressed!!!

  • How did you teach him to give you a hi 5 and about how long did it take you to accomplish that?

  • @MistaSpruill It takes about 2-5 mins.

You will need a treat your ferret loves to teach him the shake hand. Give paw first, then the hi5. Its more easy that way, I find.

  • Good job, its actually harder to train a ferret then in it is to train a rabbit due to their small brain.

    :) well done

  • @WhoAreYou94

Ferrets have the brain of a little monkey. These guys are found to be more smart than average cats and dogs. They are carnivores and no offense, but carnivores are smarter than rodents. There's plenty of videos of ferrets, cats and dogs doing tricks on youtube, and plenty of smart carnivores are not mention on youtube, but are still super smart. Thanks for watching anyway.

  • @titannikk i said they had a small brain, not that they arnt smart ^^ but they are Not easy pets to train.

  • @titannikk Ferrets are smarter than rabbits (most things are) & are VERY bright AND easy to train. I agree with most of your statement but just fyi rabbits arent rodents, nor closely related. Also, I've known some very smart rodents. I trained a pet rat to do the tricks above (except paw) easily. He also would walk a rope on command & would fetch and do obstacle courses in specific order. Ease of training of course doesnt = intelligence (look at cats) but rats deserve a small shout out.

  • @nita2605 Sorry, you're right. Rabbits are Lagomorpha and Ferrets are Carnivores. All I wanted to say was they ain't rodents as most people think.

  • @WhoAreYou94 FERRETS ARE SMART STUPID!!

  • @rachberam

    Thank you.

Ferrets are more like cats when it comes to tricks ; they have no need to please their owner because they don't look at you as their "master" but more as their "mom or dad". If something is not rewarding for them, they won't do it. I've owned different kind of dogs, rottweiler to corgi and none needed a treat to do the basic obedience or to do a fancy trick or agility trick. Dogs want you, the alpha, to be happy, Cats and ferrets want to be happy. Thats it.

  • Just like most humans, they believe in "if you don't pay me, I'm not working for you"! Sooooo .. you need to find a tasty treat to perform tricks. That being said, 50% of ferrets DON'T LIKE TREATS FROM HUMANS HAND. Just like my younger ferret, Johnny. For him, I use Furovite or furotone. Its really tricky though. And yeah, ferrets are smart and do have short attention span. So always keep the training sessions short and fun !

  • @titannikk

Thanks for your response! I can see how he looks at me like im his mom. He also doesnt listen and does the opposite of what i say. Just like i used to do to my mom haha

  • Woahhhhh!! How'd u do that?! I can't even get my girls to stop knocking things over! They come to their name and that's about it lol

  • I did the handshake trick

  • Oh my goodness, can you please tell us how you taught him to give you a five? I know how to train my ferrets w/ ones where i can direct them w/ the treat (up, roll over, do a circle).

  • How do you do that are you a professional or something? (I also think you voice is nice).

  • Oh my gosh you need to give me some tips on how you did this my ferret won't listen! ):

  • All my ferret does is chaise your feet stand up and give paw

  • I liked the one when he gave u a high fivr

  • Lol, cute. I loved the play dead one.

  • What a smart little weasel!

  • This makes me want to try training my fuzzies again. I have a baby girl that does up and that's about it...she was young when we stared and got bored too easily so we might try again now that she has calmed down a little and now that Demon has given us a little inspiration.

  • This is awesome! How is this achieved?

  • How do you teach him all of this stuff?! I have two and still struggling with potty training :\

  • my ferret Bandit will never even try to do that.He just losses it when i get him out XD.He goes crazy and does the ferret dance :)

  • How long did it take for you to teach hm those tricks? T _ T

  • I love his coloration! Is there a name for his coloring?

  • @Night10gail

He's a Silver. He used to be a Black Roan Mitt when he was a kit but he turned Silver around 2 years old.

  • Cool favorite was circle

  • ferrets are sooooooooooooo cute :D

  • I've been trying to teach my ferret some tricks but it just won't work!! Can you give me some suggestions?

  • Can any of u huys give me some tips in training a ferret... all my ferret does is run around and steal my stuff... i need some help... can any of u give me any tips in how i can train her?

  • What are you give it as a treat for training it? I can't find one my ferret likes

  • Demon is adorable ! Great tricks !

  • My ferret would give me the finger then walk off and poop under my bed if I tried to teach her a trick.

  • Thats a male ferret... he isnt as fat as all the others:) but still adorable!

  • @FerretChickl0vezJb

Yes, Demon is a Marshall gib (neutered male). He's only 2.5 pds lol but he's FULL of energy ! A real Demon ! but lovable =)

  • @titannikk aren't neutered jacks called hobs?

  • @TheJonititan

What is a jack ? A male ferret is a Hob and a neutered male is a gib. Vasectomised males are Hoblets. Female ferrets are called Jills and spayed females are Sprites. Baby ferrets are Kits.

  • @titannikk My ferret is 3.5-4 lbs i dont think that is normal so where u saying that your ferret is fat because he looks fine, and cute vid my ferret only know how to rollover and stand!

  • Nice :-) Check my channel for more ferrets doing tricks.

  • what kind of rewards are you giving him? ive tried kibble with mine and they just turn it away ive also tried vite but its a no go

  • @livindedlolly

I give him kibbles, Furovite (a tiny bit on my finger) or Furotone.

My younger ferret doesn't take anything from my hand, not even his kibbles so its not really easy to teach him tricks

  • Hi what are the things your giving as treats?I've just been giving my 2 vitamin paste when there good but can't give them to much of that.

  • my ferret cant do none of that

  • I dont know how you trainde him, but my ferret wont do anything of those tricks!!!

  • X___X

I think I just died from all the pwning cuteness that is this video! SO COOL! I have a ferret this just makes me wanna teach her stuff. Although... she is sucha brat!

  • What a clever boy. Lol they'll do anything for a tasty treat.

  • I hope my ferret and I are on our way to this. We do sit, lie down, spin and stand. She is very impatient and I make a treat multiple pieces but still it takes her forever to eat.

  • i just got a ferret 2 days ago i had no idea you could train them like this!!

  • @morbidladylady Ferrets are probably one of the most intelligent carnivores on the planet ! Most people think they are stupid because they are curious and stubborn critters, but they are smart. Its the reason why they are so curious. They also have a capacity for problem solving. ;)

  • @morbidladylady Apparently you do not have ANY idea about what ferrets are, if you're saying you got "A" ferret. They are not animals to be kept alone, they're just going to be deranged and lonely.

  • that is the coolest colored ferret ive ever seen.

and the high 5 was amazing.

the beginning he looks like he knows you want him to do something but he wants the treat so bad he doesnt even listen he just rolls over hahah

  • genious little guy :) hope when i get one he'll hit this stage easy enough

  • That was amazing! I had no clue ferrets could learn so many tricks! Now I wanna go my our fuzzbutts more! Thanx Demon! You're adorable and incredibly smart!

  • I ADORE your Demon...

I wish my ferrets would do more than just up.... T___T

  • @Weura Thank you very very much ! =)

  • @titannikk very welcome :D
