The bible is far from supporting unity. It constantly talks of and demands the killing and exile of anyone who does not worship the same god. Note that the biblical God doesnt try to have the non-followers converted so he can show them his love, nope he just has the killed with out giving them a chance to "find God". Also if you recall the story of the Tower of Bable it is all about God being anti-unity and causing segrigation because he does not want people working together in unity.
Also the fact that the bible supports the use of slaves... come on... Other than the fact that the bible was written near 100 years AFTER Jesus died, then compiled and edited into the Bible a couple 100 years after that... all by men.. known of sin... You're going to put 100% faith in a document thats probability of accuracy is a joke ?
