The first part is "Broon's Bane" off of the "Exit...Stage Left" live album. The guitar and music is all compliments of "Lerxst" (aka Alex Lifeson, Rush's lead guitarist. THEN you get to the "Rhythm Method" from the "Show of Hands" live album, which of course, is completely "The Professor" (aka Neil Peart) on the drum kit...
If you guys have ever studied Neil's lyrics, you know where his influences in objectivism come from. I'm no disciple of anyone, but I'm running a congressional campaign that will be based on those same philosophies. I'd be much obliged if you'd all critique my video's for my campaign.
PS I also put a few of my old guitar solo's in there for you.
@kiaroskuro The first part not the rhythm method. . Its Broons Bane, Which was intended to be the introduction to the song "the trees", Terry brown ( the producer) vetoed that part of the song but it was still played live. therefore it was called broons (brown) bane.
I have a question for anyone who know, when that...what shall I call it...ulalating?...is heard in the background, do people learn to do that and do so as an expression of their love of mid-eastern arts or are there actually near easterners there showing their support?
WHOOOOOOOOAAAAAA NELLY!!!! YOu got me effing screaming here I gotta show this to my husband this is awesome!!!!!!! He is always telling me how I need to do something to YYZ's drum solo, but geez, after watching this I don't think I could EVER pull that off like you just did woooo hooo!!!!! That was GRAND!!! (I'm hyperventilating LOL I feel so small now tee hee!)

Hi Tina... it's not Tony Bozio (he's amazing, though!). This is "The Rhythm Method" by Neil Peart. :)

@bryceHUHwhat Yes, I know. I'm a huge Rush fan, and know the story behind "Broon's Bane". :)
I'm still trying to tackle "Der Trommler" as a performance piece...

The clever thing about using Broone's Bane is that you have a built-in "audience appreciation" track.
