If the government is loaded with money, then there is no insentive for reform. We have to be frank that the social programs of America now consume trillions of dollars each year and continue to provide little if any benefit to our people. Eventually you have to ask the question of when do you try something else? Throwing money at the government isn't going to work because it's been tested since FDR. Seventy years is a good enough track record to infer something new. Bravo Sanford.

Every time a repub gets in power, starting with Reagan, then the Bushes, alot of social programs were screwed up or cut down altogether

Its not like we have had the same democratically approved healthcare positions for 70 years. Its been repub controlled for decades between the presidency and congress.

The reform we need is universal care for one and to close loopholes that allow SS to have money taken out for political agendas

Because more government always solves bad government. Let's try something new and more flexible. it's called the free market. It's called personal responsibility. It's called learning from mistakes. Cell phones, computers, and other high tech goods keep falling in price as do every elective healthcare procedures. The market naturally makes things cheaper, faster, and higher quality over time. Government does the exact opposite every time. If I am wrong, then name one social program that works.
