Rosie Grier. He finally got the gun away from Sirhan. Rosie was one of Bobby's friends and closest body guards. I asked a grip or electrician I knew to take me to "the spot". He knew what I meant. In answer to your question, I probably don't think so. I don't think the assassinations of JFK and RFK were conspiracies. it ia assumed that Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone person responsible for Jack's death, and that Sirhan Sirhan was responsible for Bobby's death. Conspiracy theories are difficult to understand, because the details in them are confusing and it is hard to tell which is right and which isn't. I hope this helps. ;)
From all the evidence I have seen, the same group of people(ruthless men) have been responsible for the assasinations of JFK, RFK, JFK Jr., MLK and JL. Rosie Grier. He finally got the gun away from Sirhan. Rosie was one of Bobby's friends and closest body guards. Bobby went to the hotel, spoke to the people for the same reason he visited most poor, ethnic and rural areas as well as inner city. Because other politicians DID NOT. That is what defined Bobby and that is what was shot on June 4, 1968 and died on the 6th.

Read last night that he never intended of going to the hotel, choosing to watch the results back at his hotel room.
He was encouraged to make a brief speech to his supporters, which of course he agreed to do. Anyway, it's another what if...what if he hadn't walked through the pantry? Hadn't come to the hotel at all?

a sign of the political times of spring, 1968. rfk was an experienced, intelligent politician, and i believe that he was trying hard to appeal to segments of society that perceived that they were being oppressed by "the uniforms" be they police or military. as such, he didn't want to photographed with them, either.

On the night this was filmed, the supporters in the room were given a small round button which said "On To Chicago". There is a man with dark frame glasses standing behind Bobby's wife. That man is wearing one of the buttons which I am talking about.

Ugh. This video brings back very bad memories. I was working around the movie business in 1994. They filmed features in the Ambassador in those days. I asked a grip or electrician I knew to take me to "the spot". He knew what I meant. There was nothing in the pantry but plywood taped to the floor to discourage people from taking the floor tiles and a cardboard sign saying "No filming in this area." History was changed on that spot and I remember it was just so stark, so dark and very sad.

I was a couple years younger, growing up in a N.J. blue-collar, Irish-Catholic family. My Dad got up at 4:45 every day to go to work. I woke up in the dark and slowly realized Pop was sitting on my bed, staring into space. When I asked him what was going on, he just lost it. Eventually, I coaxed the news from him. I believe Bobby had died by that time. It's still the only day I can recall that Pop stayed home from work and wasn't sick as a dog. A bitter ending to a wild and historic decade.

In answer to your question, I probably don't think so. I don't think the assassinations of JFK and RFK were conspiracies. it ia assumed that Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone person responsible for Jack's death, and that Sirhan Sirhan was responsible for Bobby's death. Conspiracy theories are difficult to understand, because the details in them are confusing and it is hard to tell which is right and which isn't. I hope this helps. ;)

Two things about the film Bobby. First, its heart was so in the right place and second, amazingly, Lindsay Lohan was the best performance in it. Amazing. My hat off to the director and my sympathies in not being pleased with how the final cut of the film was presented.
