  • how do u get gas

  • ive done this very same thing, but i just cut the gas door out and welded a new piece in place.alot more simple and faster, all you have to do is put the new metal behind it make sure it forms to the contuor of the body and mark around the cut edge and cut the shape and weld it in.done, much faster than making that particular shape of the door and cutting or grinding.ten minute worth of work vs. an hr or more

  • We used to be based I'n Utah, but we recently moved to Beverly Hills CA.

  • Were is your company based

  • we're just using 16 gauge sheet metal & kiddie hair fiberglass to prevent metal fom flexing.

  • GOOD LUCK!! It's not easy. I would do slow tack welds, and low heat, also take your time don't rush it. A lincoln mig welder with gas is the best type of welder to use.

  • what welder are you using. how do you keep the heat from warping the panels.

  • mount the fill tube inside the bed. Or on this one we installed a fill tube in the fender liner.

  • siphon the old gas into a gas tank then refil tank.

  • This is a really cool technique, but how do you put gas in the vehicle after you do this?

  • @transistence lol people who do this have a fuel cell in the bed of their truck

  • Im really loving these videos. Very informative. Helping me out a lot. But are you just using sheet metal, or what kind of metal? Also, are you using fiberglass in the first step of smoothing it out?
