If the first boomerang he threw went downwards, it wouldn't have managed to dissapear in time for him so that he could throw the second boomerang as soon as he threw it at 0:05 . And if the second boomerang was going to hit it, it would have taken another second for it to reach that target.

That can't be, because 3.55 is the max the boomerang will reappear after disappearing from the first throw. Plus, I don't think .76 is a possible digit (might be wrong).
