  • What size are those pots? how old are they? Were the roots grown into the fabric at all. Also, was the rootball wet, damp or dry when you did that?

  • @APcaveman They were 3 gallon pots, I do not remember how old they were, the Smart Pots air prune the roots so the only place they will grow through is where they have contact so typically the bottom, root mass was damp when I transplanted.

    That is because unlike normal pots Smart Pots air trim the roots so you don't see them all the outside edges
