That keyboard is like my setup... but in one thing. My setup is made out of $40 worth of hand me down hardware (old 300Mhz laptop, midi cord, preowned midi keyboard, misc in between hardware / software) The NeKo looks nice and greatly more functional then my setup.

It's fine for the Hammond, there's only 66 keys anyways. Plus one octave of inverse for presets. But I agree, for piano playing, it's too short.

Chris, very cool. This is the 1st time I've ever heard of a NeKo workstation. Now I've got to go check these out. Thanks. To ajdicks, yeah, I agree about the Rhodes. But, some workstations come really close to the feel and nuances of a Rhodes. I've got a Yamaha Motif ES-6 that has some incredible Rhodes pianos, for example. I never used my 73 suitcase, so I sold it last summer. Too big and heavy and limited functioning, unless I had roadies to cart it around for me.

The recording is good enough to listen the envelope of the sound. It sound more a Dx7 then a Rhodes... I own both of them so i know what i'm talkin 'bout.... Anyway the piano sound is good.

This guy smilzator is an idiot he doesn't understand that the plugin your using is making the Rhode sound not the Neko. This idiot also doesn't understand that just like the microphone is muffling the guys voice it's also muffling the Rhode sound and that the display isn't so show off sounds because of course the neko doesn't make any but to show how easy it is to switch different programs. I apologize on this idiots behalf---he doesn't know any better

I am not sure how you can tell from listening to the sound in a noisy room via the built-in microphone of a camcorder. It is common knowledge that there are several virtual instrument plug-ins that are available on the market, as well as installed in the NeKo that sound as good or identical to the original. In most instances, they are either modeled sounds or sampled directly from the instrument in the best possible studio setting.
