FANTASTIC that is pretty shocking even now, for a kids show at least. And at the time I missed this episode, I was going to a kids party but I wanted to stay and watch the Doc. My dad recorded the audio on reel to reel and it made me even more annoyed to be teased by the sound, but no pics. It was over 25 years later I got to see it when this story came out on video.

The BBC actually got in trouble for airing this episode at the time they did. It was one of the most violent ones shown at the time. The episode features numerous people being shot and suffocated. Terrance Dicks also picked on a scene where there's a fake Auton Policeman trying to shoot the Doctor, saying 'It didn't really help boost trust in your local policemen at the time'.
