guys can someone suggest a good chopin or liszt piece..i can play pieces like grande valse brilliante, minute waltz, fantasie impromptu, some of his preludes..but i want to play a good chopin or liszt piece..pls suggest something good, and not too hard
I'm thoroughly impressed. This is a very difficult piece and given the age and the power this piece calls this is a great performance. Lots of room for improvement but again, given the age? I think were looking at a future Evgeny Kissin :D Even though i found his (kissin) performance of this to be butchered =(
Enormously mature, really deep soul, for me the best, she should go to CHopin Competition....and win !!!! (To the family : PLease, you should fix the piano's sound for him...)
The only thing I didn't like was the mic, I think it degraded parts of this piece that would rather have sounded well if I (the audience) would have been in the room. Oh well, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Grandiosa tu interpretación aunque en la parte del finalen la reexposición la cortás a la melodía o fraseo y queda mal (te digo porque yo la toqué en un concierto). un detalle seguí así que tenés un futuro prometedor
He plays it differently than any other recording I've ever heard. A bit slower at some parts, but at the same time it adds to his version of the song's personality...if that makes sense. Damn. He's GOOD.
I'm working on this and I don't sound anything like you and you make it look so easy. I put too much wasted enery in tihs piece. And your piano sounds WOW!! Such a rich base.
You're awesome1 How old were you here, like 12? Yikes!
although this is not a perfect performance,i really loved the way you execute it. Come on,its been 2 years since you uploaded this! Show us more of your excellence!
you'd be surprised how common they are actually. a piano is a life long investment and obviously this boy was blessed with a well off family that appreciated his gift. you can get a used full size steinway for easily under 25,000.
I usually fall asleep when hearing this piece but he plays it so well and fresh. Great form, imagination, and slavic feel, ...........now only if he'd learn to pedal more cleanly then it' would sound better.
He could use a little more introspection in his interpretation, I'd say..........but overall, it is very impressive.
mirenlo es un nene todavia!! es increible como toca el piano y que suelto que lo hace, la verdad que es envidiable y mas que nada admirable, es un genio este chico... va a terminar en al importante.. Gracias por el video amigo!! xD
omg!! y isn't this kid famous?!?! DMAN IT MAN! he is incredible! i'm a pianist myself, and i've never seen anyone play chopin's loanaise like this soo young. Kid, u r a master!
guys look at how he is playing... he plays like a god. he is a professional at piano and at this piece including. do u think he cares about how he uses the pedal? NO!he is doing the piece WITHOUT the book so ya give him sum little piece
Sappyspartan's just expressing his own opinion, nothing offensive. If you need to be able to play better than the artist in order to comment, then 99% of music critics would lose their jobs. I normally don't sign in, but your rude remark prompted me to. Looks like you're the retard here.
Oh, come on!!! This guy was only 17 when this was recorded. Rubinstein had many, many years of experience. You're comparing apples to oranges. Check back when Kristian is 50 years of age...and then make the comparison to a world famous concert musician.
Actually he was 15 (born on 2. November 1991) when THIS was recorded. There is another /probably better :-)/ version of the Polonaise on YouTube that was recorded when he was 16 yo. But... this is ALSO A GREAT PERFORMANCE!
Mesmerizing performance-beautifully played. Of all the versions I have heard on youtube, I like this one best. Played with such feeling for the music, and without the overly exaggerated body movements that can be so distracting from the music. This young man definitely has a bright future. Bravo!
That's fantastic playing...your left hand is a blur in that very though middle section...but I think you play it too fast...is it not staccato?? Still...you are very talented. Welldone.
It's a very good interpretation despite some (minor) imperfections sometimes in the rythm . But the sound is very mature, marvelous, approaching Rubinstein's, and the chords and additional notes are perfect.
aha, so? this is not about martha, this is about Kristian. If you don´t have anything to say about his interpretation.....don't say ANYTHING. (by the way...We know martha.....tks)
I am impressed, well played for your age. But if you have time, please listen to Askynazys recordings for his tempo accurracy....if not Matha, or Howroiwize...
i just got the book for this 3 days ago! Im so happy to play it, finished first 2 pages, up to the part where you play at 1:55 ish. Of course it still needs work on my part. Very nice playing. Maybe just a liitle less pedal, i mean really small amount less. hope to play like that. i have one video of my playing. Could some plz look and comment plz? thanks, just type austin shin. its kabelevsky concerto 3 for piano, (duh).
i am practicing this right now and i must say, it is very hard! but i think you rushed a little bit too much at the end! it was a bit too fast! but, i mean, otherwise it was brilliant! ;)
that was very very very good, and im hoping to learn this piece with my teacher soon but i dont know if im ready, i learned fantasy impromtu in about 1 month so i think i can but im not sure. You should consider not rushing at the end but actually slow down a tad, and when you are slow like in the main theme, you should speed up
I have to agree. Don't rush the end. It was superb so end it superbly. And clean up the last 16th notes in the run each time. Just my two cents. Played very well though!
To play at this level should take about three years. Try at least 1-2 hours a day minimum just to build up the strength. If you are really dedicated you can do it. It takes a lot. The octaves in the middle are very tiresome and take a lot of endurance and practice to get and needs to be done relaxed to not tense up. This is very difficult music. You need to work up to it. Good luck.
you fiddle too much with it. great hand, good facility in fingers, make an effort to keep pulse; notlike a swiss watch, but flexible pulse still has to be there, opening themes you change tempi in the middle of the phrase, and colapse before the glissando. Why? great potential, good pianism.
An excellent performance of such a difficult work by someone so young! You have a good memory and an excellent technique. I liked your interpretation also - very appropriate for Chopin. Keep working at the piano - you have an excellent career ahead of you! A very talented young fellow indeed!
Good performance of the piece... technically at least. I do not agree, though, with the interpretation. Some nuances do not stand out enough and your left hand overthrows the right one way too many times. Tempo is good though and your rubato is agreeable. This is a good performance though but some of the interpretation (maybe its your choice and i totally respect that but) i dont agree with. Keep it up though. and watch out with the pedal sometimes.
You are incredibly talented. Definitely keep it up!
