  • You are incredibly talented. Definitely keep it up!

  • Bravo Kristijane, lepo te je slusati, pozdrav iz Aarau- a AG!!!

  • Bravissimo!

  • Crazy du bisch de geilst! Gruess Jo

  • I'm absolutely mesmerized by your fingers.

  • So cool!

  • You're so good - it's always nice to see a talented individual doing what he loves the most! :)

    Keep on playing!! =)

  • I envy you. That's make me dream. Congratulations. I liked it !!!

  • guys can someone suggest a good chopin or liszt piece..i can play pieces like grande valse brilliante, minute waltz, fantasie impromptu, some of his preludes..but i want to play a good chopin or liszt piece..pls suggest something good, and not too hard

  • @MrAniruddh97 liszt - sposalizio or funérailles

  • this is a really wonderful performance! bravo!

  • I love his style. So much more emotion than other so called "polished" performers. Love the heavy pedal.

  • @exokomp Watch Blechacz playing this

  • I'm thoroughly impressed. This is a very difficult piece and given the age and the power this piece calls this is a great performance. Lots of room for improvement but again, given the age? I think were looking at a future Evgeny Kissin :D Even though i found his (kissin) performance of this to be butchered =(

  • Enormously mature, really deep soul, for me the best, she should go to CHopin Competition....and win !!!! (To the family : PLease, you should fix the piano's sound for him...)

  • WOW A PERFECT PERFORMANCE. Thank you.

  • The only thing I didn't like was the mic, I think it degraded parts of this piece that would rather have sounded well if I (the audience) would have been in the room. Oh well, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

  • Finally Chopin not technique. All of the accents in right places. Perfect in every way for me. Huge thanks.

  • eh, not bad kid. like a young billy corgan started out on journalism. put more aliyoopa in there.

  • Comment removed

  • I gave him tumb's up.. since he is young and have the ability to "master" polonaise in early age. Good job.. keep practising... GREAT JOB!

  • esta piesa es muy dificil yel la toca muy bien, la verdad no se donde alguien le pude encontrar defecto a su ejecucion el es magnifico y ya.

  • This piece is very difficult but a very good experience for pianist

  • Grandiosa tu interpretación aunque en la parte del finalen la reexposición la cortás a la melodía o fraseo y queda mal (te digo porque yo la toqué en un concierto). un detalle seguí así que tenés un futuro prometedor

  • He plays it differently than any other recording I've ever heard. A bit slower at some parts, but at the same time it adds to his version of the song's personality...if that makes sense. Damn. He's GOOD.

  • What the fuck? And with a Steinway piano, you´re a master man, How I envy your technique.

  • he was 16 when he played this xD wowowow good stuff

  • Superb interpretation/performance (of one of my favorite compositions) of Chopin! I also really like Blechacz's performances of Chopin. Keep it up!

  • BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVooooooooooooooooo!

  • BRAVO!! You're amazing! I'm working on this, but.... I guess I have to just start out very slooooow for a while? A very looooooonng while? Ya?

  • mui bien ejecutado jee mui bien very good

  • That was awesome! Very well done. Thanks for sharing

  • Bravo bravo!! very well done....keep playing !!

  • hes a genius

  • great sonority but be careful with the pedal.

  • Do you like Chopin?

  • I'm very proud o this,that I'm from Poland.

  • O-O

I'm working on this and I don't sound anything like you and you make it look so easy. I put too much wasted enery in tihs piece. And your piano sounds WOW!! Such a rich base.

You're awesome1 How old were you here, like 12? Yikes!

    Wonderfully done! Perfect!

  • You're very young and great!!!!!

  • BRAVO!!

  • A bit too cool for my taste. An excellent interpretation nonetheless. Bravo!

  • This is epic.

  • although this is not a perfect performance,i really loved the way you execute it. Come on,its been 2 years since you uploaded this! Show us more of your excellence!

  • @kawerty 5 now...

  • one of the best performance of this polonaise on youtube

  • Chapeau Melon et Botte de Cuir Amigo, i would just say it's really BRILLANT ^^

I know it an old video but your talent is here :)

  • dang he has a steinway in his house

    bet how much that cost.

  • you'd be surprised how common they are actually. a piano is a life long investment and obviously this boy was blessed with a well off family that appreciated his gift. you can get a used full size steinway for easily under 25,000.

  • it's like buying a car. instead of a carnote, it's a pianonote.

  • you must be very, very talented!

  • This reminds me the Pollini's verision. I think this guy likes Pollini

  • I usually fall asleep when hearing this piece but he plays it so well and fresh. Great form, imagination, and slavic feel, ...........now only if he'd learn to pedal more cleanly then it' would sound better.

He could use a little more introspection in his interpretation, I'd say..........but overall, it is very impressive.

  • Hey wow! Those double octaves!! And a very musical performance!!!

  • Your version is the audio example on Wikipedia. Awesome.

  • tune your piano. This song already sounds really good from you, but with a tuned piano, it will sound spectacular. Good job to you!

  • Five stars for you!!!

You play this song almost like Rubinstein!!!

  • You're a brilliant young man! Astounding!

  • good job

  • How long did it take for you to practice the song? Including your practice regime.

  • Excellent.

    Jesper

  • NICE!

  • woooooow excelente interpretacion lo lleva en la sangre este chavo

  • This interpretation demonstrates mastery, sophistication, restraint and (rarest of all) humility. In these ways you remind me of Rubenstein.

  • mirenlo es un nene todavia!! es increible como toca el piano y que suelto que lo hace, la verdad que es envidiable y mas que nada admirable, es un genio este chico... va a terminar en al importante.. Gracias por el video amigo!! xD

  • omg!! y isn't this kid famous?!?! DMAN IT MAN! he is incredible! i'm a pianist myself, and i've never seen anyone play chopin's loanaise like this soo young. Kid, u r a master!

  • Muito bom! Parabéns!

  • Magnificent playing.

  • guys look at how he is playing... he plays like a god. he is a professional at piano and at this piece including. do u think he cares about how he uses the pedal? NO!he is doing the piece WITHOUT the book so ya give him sum little piece

  • too much pedal. in my opinion, this song should be very staccato.

  • no one cares retard

if you can play it better, do it and upload so we can all enjoy it

    else shut up

    thanks

  • putamaldita:

Sappyspartan's just expressing his own opinion, nothing offensive. If you need to be able to play better than the artist in order to comment, then 99% of music critics would lose their jobs. I normally don't sign in, but your rude remark prompted me to. Looks like you're the retard here.

  • Indeed too much pedal but it's still ok for me

  • Great! Wonderful! You play very good! Good luck!

  • bonita interpretación.

  • wow very nice, man

  • Excelente interpretación....

  • this excelent video

  • the introduction would sound much better if it has a steady tempo like an orchestra , pedal's a bit dry

  • I shake my head in amazement this piece is so fuckin hard..well played!

  • Nice play. You're doing really great!

    5 Stars

  • Amazing!!!!

I think you play better than Rubinstein!

  • sorry. but are u an amateur at music? rubinstein is god at this piece

  • Oh, come on!!! This guy was only 17 when this was recorded. Rubinstein had many, many years of experience. You're comparing apples to oranges. Check back when Kristian is 50 years of age...and then make the comparison to a world famous concert musician.

  • Actually he was 15 (born on 2. November 1991) when THIS was recorded. There is another /probably better :-)/ version of the Polonaise on YouTube that was recorded when he was 16 yo. But... this is ALSO A GREAT PERFORMANCE!

  • stop saying crap. You CANT COMPARE a 15 yr old boy to RUBINSTEIN !!!!

  • Exactly!!

  • I thought the average minimum age to be able to play this piece was around 23..I guess not!

  • I'm 14 and i'm almost done with this piece XD

  • I'm only a week younger than him but he is still way years ahead of me in piano playing...

  • You are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!

    no comment!

  • omg!!!!!!! amazing!!!!

  • bravissimo...exellent performance!!!

  • absolutely brilliant

    extremely talented young man!!

    bravo!!

  • Maybe you should get your grand piano tuned.. Because your really talented and it's sad that the piano isn't in tune...

  • Incredible. One of the best versions on youtube.

  • Exelent!!!!!

  • just wonderful

  • Fantastic talent!

  • Ce jeune homme a les intonations et le sens du rythme d'un Rubinstein

  • Mesmerizing performance-beautifully played. Of all the versions I have heard on youtube, I like this one best. Played with such feeling for the music, and without the overly exaggerated body movements that can be so distracting from the music. This young man definitely has a bright future. Bravo!

  • Happy Birthday to this kid today :)

  • amazing!

  • Almost like Rafał Blechacz ;)

  • Che dire? Fenomenale!

  • very good, i'm your same age and i can't really play that level. That was amazing.

  • good clean playing ,one of the the all time great romatic pieces

  • kid, i really, i mean REALLY, would like working with you someday, if you decide to go pro.

  • the boy has got it!!!! awesome!!!

  • Fabulous, darling! Just fabulous!

  • Such fluidity and control - beautiful playing - thank you!

  • That's fantastic playing...your left hand is a blur in that very though middle section...but I think you play it too fast...is it not staccato?? Still...you are very talented. Welldone.

  • nobody beats argerich

however this is a good version too

  • i just love this piece... and you Kristian are playing it very well :-)

  • u r great!

    awesome!!!

  • christian you play excelent, congrats from Guatemala

  • Braaavooooo!!! If you made a CD, I'd buy it :).

  • enchanting!

  • ZOMGZ is that a STEINWAY in his HOUSE???!?!?!?! mmm awesome playing man!

  • A truly great Pianist, amazing for his age, or indeed any age - what a great interpretation.

  • I love his interpretation very much. It is thrilling AND touching.

  • magnificent

  • this a very very good execution except little imperfections!well done

  • It's a very good interpretation despite some (minor) imperfections sometimes in the rythm . But the sound is very mature, marvelous, approaching Rubinstein's, and the chords and additional notes are perfect.

  • Hes tallented and by tallented I mean tallented. Somehow Whenever I hear and see a truly tallented pianist thease days there always one from russia,

  • what future that boy has ahead of him...

  • how does the piano needs tuning it almost sounds find to me.

  • lolol i think he might be talking about how HIS piano needs tuning lol

  • Guys, try to listen Martha Argerich- the best interpetation of this polonaise i've ever heard!!!

  • aha, so? this is not about martha, this is about Kristian. If you don´t have anything to say about his interpretation.....don't say ANYTHING. (by the way...We know martha.....tks)

  • do you have a steinway in your house? :)

  • Piano needs tuning badly...otherwise good job!

  • You would hear how mein is tuned... horrible!:/

  • Yo this kid is nasty, keep up the good work.

  • the only reason i watched it is that i read the novel ''Perlmanns Schweigen'' from Pascal Mercier :))

  • Very good! Precise technique, good crescendo in the part in E.

  • surprised you're not asian.

    o ___O;

  • Russia,Europe, is were artist were and will always born.

  • ignorant fools

  • Very well played. Good style and motion.

  • I am impressed, well played for your age. But if you have time, please listen to Askynazys recordings for his tempo accurracy....if not Matha, or Howroiwize...

    Cheers from australia

  • MOVE YOUR HEAD AND SHOW EMOTION

  • i just got the book for this 3 days ago! Im so happy to play it, finished first 2 pages, up to the part where you play at 1:55 ish. Of course it still needs work on my part. Very nice playing. Maybe just a liitle less pedal, i mean really small amount less. hope to play like that. i have one video of my playing. Could some plz look and comment plz? thanks, just type austin shin. its kabelevsky concerto 3 for piano, (duh).

  • I am feeling that i'm listening your play at concert !! You made me happy ! thanks !

  • THAT WAS REALLY GOOD!

i am practicing this right now and i must say, it is very hard! but i think you rushed a little bit too much at the end! it was a bit too fast! but, i mean, otherwise it was brilliant! ;)

  • Martha would be proud...

  • that was amazing.

  • that was very very very good, and im hoping to learn this piece with my teacher soon but i dont know if im ready, i learned fantasy impromtu in about 1 month so i think i can but im not sure. You should consider not rushing at the end but actually slow down a tad, and when you are slow like in the main theme, you should speed up

  • I admire you.

    You are inspirind.

    keep it up.

  • Nice dude. I will start practising it next year. Awesome...

  • BRILLIANT !!!!!

  • this is really good! i love chopin; i think his polonaises are absolutely amazing.

  • Why rushed the last 2 bar?

  • I have to agree. Don't rush the end. It was superb so end it superbly. And clean up the last 16th notes in the run each time. Just my two cents. Played very well though!

  • if you type in polonaise op 53 in wikipedia it has a recording of you playing it

ive been playing piano for about 3 months now and ive been progressing extremely fast and hope to start this piece sometime this year

Ive been fooling around with it and can already play the main section

how long did it take you to learn it entirely?

  • To play at this level should take about three years. Try at least 1-2 hours a day minimum just to build up the strength. If you are really dedicated you can do it. It takes a lot. The octaves in the middle are very tiresome and take a lot of endurance and practice to get and needs to be done relaxed to not tense up. This is very difficult music. You need to work up to it. Good luck.

  • if you type in polonaise op 53 on wikipedia it has a recording of you playing it

  • 上手い

  • You're very good and you're so young, you have so much time to get better and better :).

    So lucky!!! Congratulations.

  • you fiddle too much with it. great hand, good facility in fingers, make an effort to keep pulse; notlike a swiss watch, but flexible pulse still has to be there, opening themes you change tempi in the middle of the phrase, and colapse before the glissando. Why? great potential, good pianism.

  • woww

  • ps: more videos please !!!

  • listen, and then watch his new video...such a great talent!!!

  • Amazing, Frederic would have been proud of you. What more can I say..........

  • way too talented.

  • Yes, he could be a great pianist. Go ahead!!

  • Good job! Well done.

You have a good reach, and you look comfortable while you play the piece.

Tempo is right, not too slow, not too fast...

Keep practicing and post more videos...

  • An excellent performance of such a difficult work by someone so young! You have a good memory and an excellent technique. I liked your interpretation also - very appropriate for Chopin. Keep working at the piano - you have an excellent career ahead of you! A very talented young fellow indeed!

  • Excellent! But I think you press the pedal too much.

  • Good performance of the piece... technically at least. I do not agree, though, with the interpretation. Some nuances do not stand out enough and your left hand overthrows the right one way too many times. Tempo is good though and your rubato is agreeable. This is a good performance though but some of the interpretation (maybe its your choice and i totally respect that but) i dont agree with. Keep it up though. and watch out with the pedal sometimes.

  • Prokrach23, did you play this piece?

  • awesome !! thank you for sharing this wonderful video !!

  • wow. That was freakin amazing!!!

  • to understand chopin's music, his feelings you have to know history of poland. This is beautifull country. Chopin was the best pianist ever

  • Awesome! Superb! Fabulous! Amazing! You stike the keys with so much confidence and authority to be so young. You really KNOW your material.

Some day I'll post a video too, but it won't sound nearly as professional as yours. lol
