He appears so stressed. Why do his feathers look so bad. I have an African Grey, a Buffons Macaw and a Catalina Macaw and none have ever looked that bad when molting.
@Marahslife Alex lived a very stressful life, although he was cared for lovingly by Irene and others, he still had to move across the country countless times. Alex was never treated inhumanely, is was just the nature of the work.
God I used to follow these experiments like a hawk, simply because I was curious if birds could actually understand what we're saying to them. Griffon (Alex's replacement) is doing a good job too last I heard.
that parrot was clearly unhappy and stressed... he ripped his feathers out like that is obvious reason enough. poor bird

@xPinkStrifex A grey parrot usually has a life span somewhere around 50 years. He was very young.
