Apparently, Charlie tripped over a pothole while walking down the street with a laptop in his hands (Honest to God, I am NOT making this up) and landed right on his face.

I just Googled "Charlie Rose" and "black eye".

According to one report, Charlie deliberately sacrificed his face to protect his COMPUTER from hitting the ground!

Of course, this is the "official" version of what happened. Frankly, it makes no sense to me - I know laptops are expensive but, this is ridiculous!
