this movie takes from 3 primary sources
1. die hard one
2. speed
3. blown away
know one remembers blown away was the first movie where a vilian will set a trap leaving the hero a limited time to escape or stop the bomb from going off
since then movies from saw to 12 rounds has developed the idea further.
You have only seen him play one roll basically the tough guy where nothing can stop him or stand in his way. And i find him very convincing at this role. You can't really say he's a bad actor unless you see him play more diverse roles. So in reality none of us know how good of an acotr he really is. I think he is probably good considering his job is acting on WWE.
From the previews that I saw, this movie seemed to have an almost identical plot to Die Hard 3. Interestingly enough, this is directed the "visionary" director of Die Hard 2.

john cena is no rock though.i like him as a wrestler but as an actor he is awful.
not only is he awful but the movie is awful also.
the director of diehard 2(i liked that) and cliffhanger(i hated that)did this movie.wwe is talking it up like its the best film ever.lol.
