  • damn free word,, the price of MS word is like 130 something dollers, which is BS because i could really use word but dont got that much money to blow. stuck with open office which is good free program, but not as good as word.

  • it says network quality problem

  • Misleading title

  • Real OpenOffice Editing for iOS/Android devices would be nice.

  • Office is not free, remote access is.

  • Pretty sure this is illegal. Those softwares cost money.

  • @0cTeT

Sounds like Remote Computing, which is free/legal, providing you bought a office copy.

  • Why do trolls have terrible spelling and grammar?

  • Or torrent it.

  • @pearl2k11

Sounds more like cloud computing than free Office.

  • Misleading title is misleading.

  • Is it just me or did Chris turn crazy? Haha

  • Oh this is great! All I gotta do now is drop $500 for an ipad...

  • @TheOriginalShifty

$500 , plus the cost of Office , if you don`t have Office. Remote access only.

  • My i7 hackintosh 4 sale check it out on eBay!!!! Now

  • Great tip chris, im using this now instead of pages and keynote, & it syncs wi the cloud so i can get my stuff at work. Much help,

  • On your desktop or laptop just use Open Office or Libre Office,

  • So it's only available for American gay boys then

  • Looking at that if apple iPads had. The and is what a device o be using.

  • I can't find the app in the app store

  • It's not available in canada. :(

  • It is not MS office for free really is it. NO way of getting that onto a pc.

  • I'd love to have an iPad right now

  • WOW! The iPad now has a purpose.

  • Hmm, where's the catch? Let me go ahead and read this privacy policy and terms and conditions just in case.

  • I wonder if when windows 8 is release they will find a way of getting that to run on the ipad? Would be interesting to see it done.

  • How do you get the app

  • @TheTechnolobster Go to desktop (dot) onlive (dot) com

  • love you thanks

  • It not going to last I can see the C&S coming from a mile away! You got to wonder what the hell was Onlive thinking? They could have virtualize a Linux desktop and save themselves a lot of legal trouble.

  • I can't find how to make an account. can someone help me?

  • Not available on the Irish itunes store... :(

  • No need to double tap...

  • apple suck so much that they need windows!

  • Of course The United States is the only country that gets new apps and technology. I live in Canada and get nothing. Imagine Europe or Asia.

  • this is computing in the cloud.. u don't get the software u use it on their servers...u don't install windows either it is all virtual

  • no link to the app? I didn't catch what it was called.

  • desktop*.onlive*.com

You may need your existing copy of Office. Or buy Office. Sounds like remote access to Windows.

  • Apple is definitely going to copy this...

  • Lol this is sooo bugged, i got into the windows folder, system32 and appdata by just creating shortucts and open file path throught the properties of files..

  • I got iWork 2009 for free. Pages numbers and keynote $100 value for nothing!!!

  • Doesn't this just mirror the image from your actual Windows PC that is on? & do you get Office 2010 on your computer or is it only on your iPad?

  • @guyaneseDJ13 No, it is an app in the app store that gives you ms office on your iPad for free or if you need more storage or features you can pay for it.

  • @NorCalExplorer Have you watched the video? He said it was from the OnLive app which allows you to play games not get Microsoft Office for free.

  • Awesome, but they should add it on more tablets, or just make it availible for use on a pc (like a WebOS - you use it to access your files anywhere)

  • that is fucking awesome now i need an ipad

  • cloud computing will destroy privacy online. EVERYTHING YOU DO will be monitored, tracked, & recorded.

  • @wingnut4427

    1984, yep pretty sick.

  • Eumm its not the latest office theres 2011 (MAC) and i think 2012 (WIN)

  • where is the link to get that app

  • @SELG88 Search "OnLive Desktop" in iTunes.

  • It is good because it is free. Otherwise I have heard Chris complain about Windows tablets in every other video mentioning it.

  • Using it on a touch screen just reminds me why Apple chose to expand iOS for a tablet, rather than touchify a desktop OS. Yea, it's cool, and neat to have office for free. But man is it just clunky as hell on a touch screen

  • Onlive games is what I get 😔

  • I wish you had left the link 😔

  • actually Microsoft is now going to get more revenue buy people subscribing for their OS on iPad's ,smart move by Microsoft

  • so is this only free on ipad?

  • why would i buy an ipad just to use word on it, when i would have to connect it wirelessly to my pc to use it anyway..... yes its useful if you already own an ipad. But i have no intention to buy one

  • id mostly likely say Microsoft are behind this some how for marketing

  • For Android?

  • there has to be some kind of catch

  • I have this app for my fire (it was the free app of the day) this thing is f*cking awesome!

  • Office 15

  • or pirate bay :)))

  • Home premium should be free for all but no MS office on it free, then the paied versions of Windows should have office in the OS

  • I agree with Chris on this one. It's a great tool and plus, it's free!

  • Who's complaining about the #SOPA laws, when Microsoft allows this trickery on I-Pad?

  • Only problem is it's OnLive which is really laggy.

  • The service is free for the standard plan which gives you up to 2GB of storage. Other plans cost and will allow more features. I believe the enterprise edition works on other devices such as android, mac and windows(I understand why but still a little weird).

  • OpenOffice is an open source version of Microsoft Office that is just as good. There is no reason to pay for Word anymore. word processing software is nothing special anymore; it's not 1995 anymore Mr. Gates.

  • @jcrowley1985 To be honest it's probably been that long since Mr Gates has had anything to do with Office =P

  • Or you can just go on TPB....

  • This is awesome! I wish I had a ipad now!!!

  • Windows OS on an ipad? lol so much betrayals happen there... TITLE IS MISLEADING CHRIS !!!

SHAME ON YOU BRO ! SHAME ! lol

  • Oh, for the iPad, completely pointless to me.

  • FUCK AMERICA YOU DIDNT SAY ITS ONLY US!!!!

  • @xROBERTxDAVISx Make a US iTunes account.

  • fuck you americans!

  • install the trail... for 30 days

use iobit uninstaller and use the advanced option , search for all traces of the program.

    delete them .

    reinstall

    profit

  • Dude, your attitude's just like my English lecturer

  • Soo, how does this help me on the PC? I'm stuck with starter right now.

  • He's so fucking excited O.O

  • office should be built in any Microsoft OS for free.

    I call for shenanigan!

  • @dadddycool normally is

  • @dadddycool Agreed. That's ok though, Open Office is way better anyway.

  • @TheStoasterRisen oh god, I hope you meant LibreOffice. Otherwise, your not allowed to be subscribed to chris. Do yourself a favor and read the segment on wikipedia for libreoffice, the initial release.

  • @AjblueDesign I'd have to try it out to decide for myself, but it looks interesting. Nonetheless, I stand by my statement that Open Office is better than MS Office. After having used OO for awhile, I can't see why anyone would pay for MSO.

  • Comment removed

  • @dadddycool Or just go to openoffice (dot) org

  • this... may have just curved my resolve to forget getting an iPad and go with a windows tablet... no longer does my previous argument that I can't use all the same programs that I use on windows on an iPad... Apple needs to think about paying OnLive in thanks... they may have just sold another iPad with this free app!!!!

  • "OHAW I want Microsoft Office on the iPad!" Made me laugh so hard!

  • They wont get away with it for long.

  • @FAB12UCB Don't worry; they are paying Microsoft Office Licence Fees for this.

  • Misleading title. Change it to "How to Get Microsoft Office 2010 On Your iPad"

  • Cool

  • Already have the full Office 2010 suite. :-]

  • wow...

  • Can't belive how they got away with that ._.

  • I already have MS Office 2010 for free.

Borrowed it from my friend :P

I gave my friend a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium in return.

  • First like!!

  • lol
