Yes, I already know about their influence on the hardware side of the games industry, but that wasn't my point - was it.

I have just sat through a seminar at this year's Assembly '09 (demoscene conference, in Finland) given by some System Arch. from IBM. He spent most of his discussion talking about the potential for corporations to "educate" the young through videogames.

The whole talk was quite "disGusting".

no, this is probably the worst professionally made game i've ever played.

you can walk up any surface if it's part of the ground terrain (yes yes, straight up a hill) it takes six times as long to get down the stairs as it does to get up them, because you have to fall off of each stair individually, you have to go around shooting "smog-gobs" (octopods made of smog) to help clean the environment, all while repairing already built structures, which requires no real thinking.

Oil is not running out or declining. We cannot possibly estimate how much oil there is in the world. Like there is a massive amount under the Gulf of Mexico, and there's a huge oil field in the midwest of the US, not to mention oil shale in Utah. IBM is a good make. i have an IBM PC moniter that lasted about 10 years before it started dieing, then i tried to shoot it up with an air rifle... barely made a mark on the screen... and that air rifle was powerful...

I'm still using my 1997 IBM keyboard (11 years old), it is the only keyboard I have ever used, not a single button is worn out (and i use it a LOT)

IBM is VERY good, I am in the process of ordering an IBM intellistation M Pro, and an IBM monitor.
