  • That stupid fucking cunt, What's-her-burnt-out-face, introduced him?

    FUCK

  • the only good thing fox has ever aired

  • kinda sad that he died of cancer...

  • Comment removed

  • SUCK MY FUCKING COCK VICTORIA JACKSON

  • @Laidx Now that's a joke.

  • Hero!

  • Victoria Jackson is a FOX news goddess?????

  • Victoria Jackson=Mediocre Hack, Still Alive and a FOX News goddess. A world where she is making money and Bill Hicks is dead is proof that there is no such thing as either justice or karma.

  • His laugh can be so evil, I love it x3

  • Bill Hicks Genius...Cancer took him too early in life..What's a Genius? When asshole comics with little talent steal your material...And most built their act by watching Bill.. I met him at Catch A Rising Star after coming off stage back in the early 80's sweetest guy you ever wanted to meet....

  • toned down, but the coke commercial bit, wouldnt be able to say that on fox today

  • "The economy's going bust, war in the Middle East, recession..." Wait a second... this was recorded over 20 years ago!

  • Could the shoes joke be towards Married...With Children? Biggest show at the time and on Fox.

  • @cky1088 no, bill used to work in a shoe shop

  • "I always say 'shoot;, you're lucky you don't smoke!'" No you don't, Bill. Let the expletives fly

  • I just watched his new documentary called American: The Bill Hicks Story. It was really good. I wish he was alive today. One thing I don't understand is that if he is against marketing and advertising, why would he say he would buy a lot of Coke if they were using a nude woman to sell it? Wouldn't that be contradictory to what he is against?

  • @RScarf1 you dont understand....

  • @Element095 You're right. I don't understand. He does not like companies trying to sell products people do not need. However, he likes when Doublemint gum uses pretty women to sell it. But he says he is not thinking about gum as he is watching the commercial. That tells me that he is not motivated to buy the gum just because of the ad. So why would he say he is going to buy Coke if that is the type of ad they would use?

  • @RScarf1 The point he is making is that the government uses sexual images to make people want to buy their product, so he is saying from an average standpoint of a consumer if there is a hot naked chick advertising a product, the average joe is gunna want to buy it. Do some research on bill hicks and u will understand more about him and his performances.

  • @Element095 First of all, Coca-Coca and Wrigley's (who make Doublemint gum) are companies. They are not government. Secondly, Bill Hicks is not the average American. Hicks himself is saying at the end of this video that he will buy a lot of Coke because of the ad. He is not talking about the average joe. He is talking about himself and what he would do. I have watched the new documentary of Bill Hicks (discs one and two). I was a stand-up comedian myself and I know about Bill Hicks.

  • @RScarf1 Sry not wasting my time with ignorant, close minded, government brainwashed fucks like you.

  • @Element095 Well, it was nice chatting with you.

  • @RScarf1 remember, he's still a standup comedian. he'll still just say stuff for the laughs.

  • @mokshamonkey He may have not considered what he said in other acts about not liking marketing people and so he was just trying to get laughs by saying he would buy a lot of Coke if they used an ad with sexual content. He's a great comedian. There is no doubt about that. However, people have to realize that he is sharing his opinions. He obviously hated Republicans, but I wonder how he would feel about the Democrat president now. The United States is deep in debt and has high unemployment.

  • @RScarf1 He said himself that Bill Clinton, a democrat, wasn't going to change anything and he was right

  • still owns fox even when he's censored.

  • Seeing Hicks laugh, he would made a great Joker :p

  • death to fox...

  • im sure it killed him a bit, but im sure he saw the opportunity as a way to get his message out about questioning everything, you notice how everybody went silent after he said something about reagan...

  • You can hear him censor himself 6:00

  • Bill Hicks censoring is own material to make an appearance on Fox? Isn't that one of the early signs of the apocalypse?

  • @antonswitajewski He did the same thing for Letterman.

  • @antonswitajewski He did the same on Letterman and other TV venues. Respecting the FCC rules just enough to still tell the truth may be shitty but it's still crucial just to get on TV. The HBO clips show his untamed beauty. It's the difference between being in a zoo and being in the wild.

  • Shoot is shit with two Os!

  • Dooby-dooby-dooby-dooby-dooby-do-WOP-WOP-dooby-dooby-dooby-dooby-dooby-do-WOP-WOP. I say Bill vomited into his mouth when he heard that intro music.

  • The irony of being introduced by Victoria Jackson.

  • @afkokjjopjihuhbuihb Ya man, I heard about her whole brand of crazy while listening to Howard Stern. He played some tape of her talking about her beliefs and I was just floored to hear such hateful rhetoric coming from that voice I knew so well. Hicks would've laughed her out of the studio if he'd known she was harboring that kind of batshit in her brain.

  • @afkokjjopjihuhbuihb Ya man, I heard about her whole brand of crazy while listening to Howard Stern. He played some tape of her talking about her beliefs and I was just floored to hear such hateful rhetoric coming from that voice I knew so well. Hicks would've laughed her out of the studio if he'd known she was harboring that kind of bat$hit in her brain.

  • If it bothers you that he is not cussing, don't worrie there will be dick jokes later.

  • Palm Springs, My home city! Hello Bill! Enjoy the stay!

  • holy shit bill hicks is on fox

  • weird watch hicks with no F words

  • 1:12 Pure example of how much of a shit Bill give's

  • The intro music must have killed him haha

  • The crowd was very nice.

  • "War in the Persian Gulf, the economies gone bust, recession..." was he talking about today or back then?...:|

(yes I know he's dead, but...)

  • @TwelveBridges He died 16 years ago

  • @MrBrisbaneman1994

Exactly - yet watching his stuff, he could easily be talking about today, now :|

  • "I'm drinkin' (long awkward censored pause) a lot of coke. poor bill

  • this is still relevant today more than ever.

no one gives a shit about the things that really matter. but are totally freaking on the little things.

  • Loved the "Spinal Tap" reference.

  • even if it was "censored" which im not so sure is the case, its just a routine of his less "offensive" gags, a fucking brilliant routine too

    rip hicks

  • "...a little shy"

She was being sarcastic. They all knew he was quite the opposite of "shy".

  • @lateralus411 are there any stand up comedians that are shy? it seems to go against being a stand up comedian

  • as i read "on FOX" in the title, i already saw this kind of clean version coming.

The crowd seemed too happy xD

  • Bill was and always will be the best stand up comic. We miss you Bill, thanks for the laughs and the truth. Every day I live I realize just how true everything you said in your bits were and still are. From government, women and relationships, religion, money and greed. I would love to have seen some of the material you would have had in today's times, lmao. RIP, we love ya.

  • Ha ha that woman at the begining has a fucked up voice, is she on helium?

  • @08havoc08 Probably communist; you know what they talk like!

  • This one is good!!

  • That is one surreal environment.

  • Come on guys ,can't we all just get along?

  • Funny that he was able to adapt all his material without slipping even once. Watching him here, you wouldn't even imagine what the original versions of those jokes actually sounded like! He was simply amazing.

  • @TellinTheTruth

It was pancreatic cancer not lung cancer

  • @pilatech still caused by smoking

  • @TellinTheTruth Well, looks like you failed to live up to your name. He didn't die of lung cancer, genius-- he died of pancreatic cancer which spread to his liver. His death had nothing to do with his smoking habit.

  • @modustheoperandi HAHAHAHA had nothing to do with SMOKING. You must be a smoker! ingesting poisons into ur body.... hmmmmmm nothing wrong there.

he was a great comic! and I suggest you listen to his last message about life being a ride man, and stop ur stinging ego rebute

  • @TellinTheTruth ...and you must be one of those obnoxious non-smoking uppity cunts Bill talks about in his routines.

Your air is full of hydrocarbons, your water is full of fluoride and leftover pharmaceuticals/steroids, and your food is full of MSG, pesticides, high-fructose corn syrup, preservatives, additives, etc... your body's not a temple in this day and age, asshole, so drop the self-righteousness. I'm not hurting anyone or doing anything wrong by having the occasional cigarette.

  • @HammarHeart: the "cool guy everybody hates"; Hope they ingrave that on ur gravestone.

Im no upity cunt, YOU ARE for insisting that your right, and others that dont want to be a bitch to health issues and tabbaco companies are wrong.

ur not hurting anyone! LOL, well then have your smoke in the middle of the ocean far from kids and others.

your the arse, because i can see you just tossing the fag carelessly on the street when your done. your no james dean fuckhead, just another herd conformist

  • @TellinTheTruth 1st paragraph - LOL ok?

    2nd - lrn2english fgt

3rd - the amount of "second hand smoke" you would inhale from 10 feet away (and even then, that's my personal space, i'd have to be hanging out with you to be that close to you) is NOTHING, especially considering i don't blow smoke in other people's faces, so shut the fuck up idiot.

4th - who's the fuckhead conformist? you're the one who buys into the secondhand smoke propaganda forcefed to you by lobbyists you dense gullible twit

  • @TellinTheTruth furthermore, where is your indignant moral vendetta against all the cars, planes and factories put out more toxic carbon emissions into the air than anything else on this planet by millions and millions of tons?

you're gonna tell me i'm a danger to people's health because a TINY little insignificant puff of smoke might happen to pass by your nostrils? hell, you inhale more smoke stitting next to a bonfire, and i'm sure you've gone camping before, so shut the fuck up dipshit

  • @HammarHeart No you shut the fuck up..... all you do is whine and try to justify the fact that you want to "kill yourself by smoking", I choose not to, so your the fucking dipshit because you cant accept that your behaviour (ie the smoke) effects more than your little space around you. GO FOR A SWIM in dangerous surf asshole and see if your so awesome.... bet you lungs burn and your tough talk wont seem so cool now.

  • @TellinTheTruth no one is whining here except for you. you went on a bill hicks video and whined about smoking. furthermore, my smoking doesn't have an effect on anyone, because i don't smoke indoors or in other people's breathing space (unless they're smoking with me). i've already thoroughly debunked your little quips about second-hand smoke, you just refuse to see the reality of the situation because you have a wicked zeal against smoking and you're a fucking dunce. good day sir

  • @HammarHeart , thoroughly debunked...... yeah ok....... I dont care if u smoke, really dont, in fact i want people like u to smoke, which mean the world can get rid of you quicker..... its just unfortunate your habit affects others (even though you think u dont, and if u dont effect others, you will effect people who know u after you get health problems.... ) just a pity ur fuck you attitude wont help u with cancer.... good luck

  • @TellinTheTruth I hope you apply this line of thinking to junk food and bad television. Otherwise you are a hypocrite.

  • @buprenorphed or just to... living. i say, let's not make any friends, make everyone we know hate us, umm... and try not to "effect" anyone around us, cause if we do affect them, god forbid, they might learn something about the world.

  • @TellinTheTruth : No need to worry. Its just a ride. Live in love not fear. Both are the same, Only one is the true path to completion

  • @TellinTheTruth Hey bud I totally agree! The quicker I die the quicker I can get the fuck away from fucks like you. I would like to discuss further but I gotta go outside for a smoke. Hey do you know where I can find a douche proof lighter?

  • @HammarHeart

Oh, by the way, your "indignation" is your mental illness, go get a medical and a science degree and then I will listen to your crap justifications fool.

  • @TellinTheTruth LOL, i don't need a degree to tell you that more smoke is put into the air by cars, planes and industrial processing than cigarettes, its common knowledge, you knuckle dragger. the fact is, you have no reasonable argument against smoking, you just don't like it, and to that, i say, tough titties.

  • Bill proving he can rock it at any venue with any crowd. If your product is the truth its hard for anyone to fuck with it.

  • Good ol' television broadcasting, oppressing for life!

  • "corporate fuckin' shill, your another whore at the capitalist gang bang"... strange how he didn't mention that one on fox.

  • funniest man to date.

  • I had to google that Wrigley's ad with the twins. hahaha

  • He takes out the 'fuck' words. But the message is intact. The voice was heard.

  • I believe he actually had the upper hand over the censorship because they didn't censor the ideas or the thoughts the audience follow. So his ideas made it through only because the censors thought they won but the didn't. I hope this makes sense what I'm trying to say haha

  • @bushofthecrazies33

    sure does :)

  • What a fucking legend! Just to think of what he would have at his comic disposal today if he were alive.... Sleep well Bill!

  • I love at the end how he almost slips up and says "...a lot of fucking coke," or, "...a shitload of coke." LOL!

  • @amsterdamob he was just saying that as I read your comment ahahaha

  • still funny censored on tv! this guy and george carlin are the greatest commentators of the late 20th century!

  • fox can "offer" itself to me any day.... xp

  • Om my god still very god but so much worse then usual gotta be fox

  • at 6:00 he wanted to say " fucking coke" and he stop himself! love ya bill

  • "I'm sick of the groupies 'offering' themselves..."

didn't realize til now how much dirty material Bill had. surprised he didn't slip up.

  • @Ninjamonkey767

    Huh?

This is without a doubt the softest material I have heard from Hicks.

  • yeah:P

  • He wanted to say "'sick of these groupies blowing me all the time"' and he even would use the proper hand to crouch motion

but sometimes a man's allowed to censor himself

  • "our next comic is a litte shy"

    whhaaaaat?

  • sarcasm?

  • that's the same thought I had LOL XD

  • @xxXCalculatorXxx i think it was a "joke." though not funny...

  • @xxXCalculatorXxx Yes, Bill Hicks was a shy introvert.

  • @xxXCalculatorXxx

    it was intended irony

  • @xxXCalculatorXxx lol hes the opposite to shyness if there is one lol

  • @xxXCalculatorXxx its ironic lol

  • @xxXCalculatorXxx sarcasm lol

  • @xxXCalculatorXxx I believe that was sarcasm...

  • @xxXCalculatorXxx that's code for "we told him to use bad words or we'd kill him"

  • @xxXCalculatorXxx think it was sarcasm

  • @xxXCalculatorXxx it was obviously part of the joke. jezziz!

  • He almost said "lots of fuckin' coke"...

  • man, its kinda cool see him do actual stand-up, not his act of wich developed, its all good.

  • dude! it must have killed Bill to have to censor up his own shit

  • @traphouse8 um what did he censor? Didnt notice anything

  • @traphouse8 Nah

  • @traphouse8 He must 've thought "I started the joke, can't pull back,I might as well finish it" but then he reconsidered " too suburbia, the least that will happen will be an obligatory laugh".

  • @traphouse8

shows the genious of him though, even being clean he's hilarious haha :D

  • @traphouse8 I'm sure it did, but even this sanitized version of some of his bits is on a completely different plain than almost every other standup comic at that time.

  • @traphouse8

He got the point across, that's what matters. I think the fact that whole ideas are being censored is what offended Bill, not so much individual words.

  • @traphouse8 yeah i guess that's why he needed a smoke

  • waaaay

  • this is reeeeeallllyyyy weeeeiiirrrddd

  • cleaned up hicks.... interesting viewing

  • Bill Hicks in Palm spring is like Sokrates being in the tv-program called "The Swan"

  • WOW! Where did you find this?

  • some people have the lamest arguments haha what about why we all appreciate him instead of the differences of which we dont share hahah dumb cunts.

  • Bill Hicks was on FOX?

  • now i get it ...look around the world in which we live and shut up because everythings screwed i thot he meant everyone else is smokin' so shut up

    :-/

  • there is A LOT that is screwed in our world...but still, there are many good sides to it as well...it can be fun to try find them and enjoy them...

What Bill said is just a typical nonsensical smoker´s/addicts excuse for a habit they cannot brake. They subconsciously know it kills them, sorry I mean not IT, but T H E Y kill themsleves... :/ it is sad...

  • There is more screwed up than good; and it's the more significant, fundamental things that are wrong.

  • okey so let´s everybody smoke, do drugs, hate each other and bitch about how world sucks round the clock...it will definitely help.

  • You obviously didn't really, uh, GET Bill Hicks. Think of Bill more like Jesus (and I'm serious about this one)... coming back seeing his world fall to the ways of depravity, decadence, and just plain indifference. That's where he was coming from.

  • You are of course entitled to an opinion, but the view you're expressing, I think Bill himself would have found hilarious and scary at the same time. YOU Sir, basically sound like a self proclaimed apostel of the One True Holy Church of Bill. You are showing the same blind devotion as the people in the churches Bill so much loathed. If that's not an irony then I don't know what is. You even get to say YOU get Hicks whereas others don't. Have I heard that line of argument somewhere before?

  • "You even get to say YOU get Hicks whereas others don't."

Did I say that? No... But I would say that's mostly true. Bill was spiritually aware, most aren't. So most don't GET Hicks.

"YOU Sir, basically sound like a self proclaimed apostel of the One True Holy Church of Bill. You are showing the same blind devotion as the people in the churches Bill so much loathed."

Sorry if that's how I came off, but it's not the case - simply how I sounded to YOU.

  • Ok fair enough, but I still think it's a pretty bold statement to claim to GET someone, contrary to other people. There is usually more that one message, one way of understanding things, etc.

Bill was a great comedian for whom I have deep respect, but don't make him into a savior, a profet or a redeemer.

I personally think he would have wanted people to think more for themselves rather than just believe his views at any cost.

But then again, your guess is as good as mine so let's not argue.

  • I understand exactly what you mean. And what you personally think, I personally think as well.

  • Now this is what I call a civilised and intelligent sharing of viewpoints on YouTube. More people should follow our example.

    Just kiddin'...

  • Bill quit smoking and drugs and booze. Put that in your pipe... Oh that's right, sorry.

  • notice how every time he comes up to a part that usually has a swear word he breaks

  • Look up The Seven Words You Can't Say on Tv by George Carlin, funny shit.

  • seen it, george carlins cool, its gay though they are both gone now

  • Yeah, both were personal heroes of mine. Never got to meet either of them, and I would've loved to.

  • Especially since Bill only had half as much time as George...

  • YEE!!

  • He made it twice as good though

  • oops! you just said the first one! LOL!

  • XD lol "OOPS"!

  • What TV show was this?

  • "A little shy"... no, he just hates you guys. DERP DERP FOX SPEAKS THE TRUTH

  • balls to that, bill hicks judged society as a whole, or world events, he never directly judged his audience. i think it shows he was as much a pro as a social commentator(he rips reagan hardly bending over for the fox audience), he won the people who support reagan, or worried about rock and roll and thought it devils music. its not selling out to speak to everyone, its brave to do stuff like that to the fox audience, and to win them around is proof of the quality of hicks comedic viewpoint

  • Do you reckon the only reason they promoted him, was because he smoked? hmm...

  • Comment removed

  • ....ok, breathe, chill, does it have to be a brand? nah i dont think so, i think all smoke corporations wouldn't mind, fuckass.... is that even a real insult?

Nah, and i'm fine doing research, he was his own promotion. fuckass, what a dick.

  • Comment removed

  • for the end of time, and the beginning of space.

  • It's a shame he had to tone this down for fox. Everyone there is completely oblivious to the fact that Bill hates them all.

  • Bowdlerized

  • 1:19

    that laugh!

    so awesome

man, I sign up every line that come out of his mouth

    brilhant fella

  • This was painful.

  • why

  • Bill has this ability to waken sheep

  • Comment removed

  • Watching these neutered performances of his are just painful to watch. You can tell he is really holding back and isn't comfortable. His timing is off and he forces laughter. The jokes or incomplete and passionless. It's like watching a completely different person. I love his real work uncensored.

  • My comment was to "TheDiceMan6"...

  • lol @ the girl introducing Bill Hicks, that voice is unbelieveable annoying.

  • It sounded like Victoria Jackson, didn't it?

    Is it her?

  • yes. what show was this?

  • A real thinking mans comedian.
