I know everybody will give this a thumbs down, but I had to check this out because I love the Crematory version so much, but...I don't really care for the original. Sorry!!!! This is just my opinion and I am not stating this as fact. But I know you guys are fans and need to defend your band so I don't mind the thumbs down. Hm. Probably.

It's hard to hear, but at 0:22 a distorted voice says "A brief period of rejoicing" and it's really cool how the synth / vibraphone-esque bit follows straight after it- like a cue. Adds to the creepiness- reminds me of a scary movie, or of when you're at an intense roller-coaster and they thought it'd be funny if they added a doom-suggesting line to play a millisecond before the ride starts and you hear the clicks bringing you up the steep slope.

For some reason, just like some guys are hot, some lines are hot (or, maybe, some lines make me imagine the guy singing is hot, or, most likely, it's just the WAY that the guy who's singing sings it, is perfect for the song). And for some reason, even though I'm not a particular fan of alcohol, the line "I'll drink to that" is very hot.

I see people talking saying they've seen them 3 times and they can die in peace. I saw them only once (so far) in 2009, on the opening night of their North American tour, and I'm happy with that.

That same year I caught N.I.N. 3 times, before they stopped touring altogether, and that wasn't enough for me. I'd like to see DM at least once more before they call it quits, because i know the feeling I'll get once they're gone.

Once, three times...its never enough; to have to enjoy the silence.
