I think that ice ages and gloabl warming are due to the angle of the earths tilt changing every 100 000 years or so. This caused the ice age and it is causing global warming now , they are called milankovic cycles, search it on wikipedia.

suleydaman. The problem with implicating Milankovic cycles with global warming is the long timescale over which this influence is felt. The temp spiked +0.8 C in just a century. Also CO2 has atypically risen 100 ppmv in that same short timeframe.

agreed global warming is a myth / rubbish

what is happing is cyclic climate change/shifting

few glaciers may be melting but others are advancing ie fox glacier Fed by four alpine glaciers, Fox Glacier falls 2,600m on its 13km journey from the Southern Alps down to the coast, and although retreating throughout most of the last 100 years, it has been advancing since 1985 at an average of about a meter a day.[1]

Careful with giving refernce to Fox or even Franz Joseph glaciers as proxy examples for world trends in glaciers. Their locale, tectonics and climatic conditions make them rather unsuitable examples for proxy reference to other glaciers.
