The Palm Beach Rodgers, when it was in the Masterful care of Arty Nobile Jr. sounding like it was built to sound. Absolutely Fabulous. Consumate Professional at the Comsumate Instrument.
I second that sk8tr. I absolutely love the brightness to this organ. Ruffati/Rodgers (which is what this organ is) is a brilliant combination if you're going to go that route...far better than any Allen I've ever heard.
I do see and hear Diane and Virgil when I watch Arthur in this video, but SO WHAT! They are legendary...and if I were to be inspired and influenced by any organists, it would be them. Arthur has a gift that I can only dream of having and I look forward to seeing and hearing where his career will take him. BRAVO Arthur Nobile!
I don't think its fair to declare this man an impressionist. Certainly his talent speaks for itself. If he happens to appear "Fox-like", it is only a coincidence.
I have read a great deal about arthur...i am learning that he is more than "just an organist...". I think we will hear more about him as time goes on...very influential!
I really don't understand the "Carmen Miranda" statement. This is the same instrument on which the "Passion" music was recorded...according to his website Arthur designed the instrument...It sounds like a Ruffatti and he plays it like he owns it.
There are two "skinner" comments on here...clearly they are not by the same person. The one about Arthur's music preparing us for the "arrival of Carmen Miranda" seems somewhat "out of place..." but it could also be a positive remark, too...As for the other. Without any question Nobile is very talented. But I think he has sought to use digital organs for a particular reason and you can hear why and how he does so, with success, in the "passion series" he has posted...
Interesting rendition. Definitely an entertainer with talent. One suggestion...ditch the digital organ. This hybrid organ does no justice to how much better this would sound with only the pipes being used.
i think this was a great show of musical talent and skill, the previous comment is rubbish and the person who left it has obviously never heard true musical talent.
