I'm having an issue with squatting that low being that my heels will to lift up. I'm pretty sure it's a result of the ratio of bone length between my femur and tibia but am not positive. Would you recommend putting a plate underneath my heels so I can squat deeper Olympic style? Thanks in advance
Good squat technique video, however there are 3 things that keep this video from being perfect: 1. No mention of core bracing before descent 2. No mention/explanation of proper hip hinge 3. Breaking neutral spine at the bottom of lift, thus causing posterior pelvic tilt or "the wink" in the strength coaching world.
Aside from those critiques, good video and I love the fact your squatting in Vibrams, definitely the best shoes I've worn for resistance training outside of lifting barefoot.
Not a bad squat tutorial. I wouldn't class this exercise as specifically a "Vibram Five-Finger Squat" though! I don't think wearing Vibrams changes the mechanics of the exercise sufficiently to justify having it's own name ;)
