  • i feel extremely lucky to only live half an hour away from the rockies i can see them as im typing this:) they are truly one of the most beautiful places in the world

  • What band performed this...I like the song....

  • Everyone should visit the Rockies once in their lifetime! i came back from there about a month ago, but it was SOOOOOO beautiful! Vancouver straight to Jasper, than to Bamph. :) it was amazing! have you seen the Icefields? or the Emerald lake..? Gosh i wanna visit the Rockies again...!

  • Yes, I did see the Icefields and Emerald lake. I love the Rockies too and I can't wait to go back either. The trip was magical!

  • Greatjob on the video.I've seen all those animals in the Banff National Park.

If you anyone would care to know more I am Crazy Larry; I've been here for about 29 yrs off/on. I can show you "some" of the animals you like to see and know about. I can also tell you a little bit about Banff in exchange for an honest opinion of "what you really think of Banff" How it's changed for the better or the worse?

    Great choice of music!Love it!

See video's on Crazy Larry at banfflakelouise2

  • Hi crazylarrybanff, this was my first time out West in the Rockies and I loved it. The scenery was beautiful and the animals were amazing to look at. I was a fabulous time and I can't wait to go back.

  • well...it just lacks your smart comments!!!

  • hehe, thanks pascaweb. I hope you still like it though! :)

  • Superb! I wanna go to the Rockies!!!

  • Helen, you would love it!! :) I think you and your hubby should come visit Canada!! The West Coast is sooo beautiful!! :)

  • Awesome first hand look at nature.

  • Thanks Classicblast! Have you ever been to the Rocky Mountains?

  • Chosebin25:

Did any of the wild life try to eat your food?

  • Nope, but we never left any food lying around either. The animals are quite used to people as there are many people camping and driving nearby. It's important though to still keep a safe distance so that the animals don't feel threatened.

We were sitting in the car eating popcorn looking at the Teton's when I looked up I saw a deer in my drivers side mirror, before I could stop stuffing my face he had his head in the car eating the popcorn out of my lap. We were immediately surrounded by deer and had a deer in all four windows shaking us down!

It was shocker but that was the coolest toll road I've been on.

  • Wow, crazy story! I did not know that deer like popcorn :)

  • Chosebin25:

I had to slowly roll up the windows to get them out of the car. The ranger told us they were Mule Deer and that they are not shy when it comes to eating. They like bread too because the ones that were poking around in the back seat were trying to rip out the bread from the cooler... they know how to vandalize a car and victimize tourist ~_^ they are born thieves!

How did you travel to the Rockies?

  • I flew to Calgary and then drove the Icefield parkway with my parents from Banff to Jasper. It was sooo beautiful!!

Interesting story about the deer. When I was younger, we went to a safari and a giraffe put their head inside our car. It was pretty funny and what I remember seeing is my mom against my dad and the giraffe showing his big purple tongue! hehe

  • Chosebin25:

I saw a 3 or 4 part PBS story on Railroads in Canada, it was so beautiful! I want to travel by rail to Banff from the east to west so I can the same approach that I saw on TV.

That's neat! They said the tongue of a giraffe smells like mint, can you recall that?

    New Zealand, safari's... what else?

  • Yes, many people travel by rainroad from Banff to Vancouver. It's apparently one of the most beautiful train rides in the world. I haven't taken the train there but I've driven and it is quite spectacular. I definately encourage you to visit!

I am not sure what the giraffe's tongue smells like. hehe. I was laughing too much to notice. :)

  • Chosebin25:

I can picture you laughing, and what a memorable moment for you. Where did that happen?

  • I'm not sure actually. It was either somewhere in Ontario or Quebec. I was too young to realize I guess. I'll have to ask my parents. :)

  • Awesome!

I saw more wild life in this video than I saw in the 5 days I stayed Canyon, Wyoming.

  • Hey, I'm glad you like it :) It was a really great trip! I really enjoyed discovering this beautiful part of Canada with my parents. It was really special :)

  • Chosebin25:

Did they have game burgers there, real game not like Bearver Tails :)

  • Game burgers? Have never heard of them, sorry!

  • Chosebin25:

I knew you were just a city girl ~_^.

In and around Yellowstone National Park they have Buffalo Burgers and they aren't just beef burgers with ketchup or hot sauce.

I just wondered if they had game burgers in Canadian Rockies.

  • They may but I can't tell you for sure. :)
