  • Ivan gets Excedrin Headache #.45 ACP!

    Die, you lousy Soviet sonuvabitch!

  • Magnum shot da ruskie cus da haole littered our rain forest with his cig butt.

  • Did you see Regis this morning?

  • Netflix has every episode of Magnum on DVD & their only $10 a month! Ive been watching & recording them on my harddrive. Otherwise Amazon sells the whole series for like $300

  • What did Ivan do that led to this? It's been years since I saw this episode. Thanks in advance if you know & reply.

  • @msk7046 Ivan killed Magnums friend Mac from Navy intelligence..... and 1 or 2 other things...

  • @msk7046 While trying to murder Magnum he killed Mac instead all this after he had tortured Magnum and TC while they were POW's he also murdered brutally other POW's. He had it coming.

  • @darrylg1963 ---Great moment? Yes. But not the best in TV history!

  • Thomas was completely and totally justified in this act..for what Ivan did to Cookie

  • Rampageeeeee!

  • Terms of Enrampagement!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Booyakasha. Right in the FACE. I swear to God I could watch this ALL day.

"I'd swear to God we'd already have."

  • Time has little to do with infinity and jelly doughnuts.

  • The Archer episode "Placebo Effect" pretty much stole this whole scene. Wow

  • @moorebounce I'm pretty sure stole is the wrong word. You're looking for spoof, reference, or homage.

  • Archer did a great job spoofing this scene.

  • Awesome TV show... still one of the best in history!

Yes, caught that Archer episode flipping the channels. I laughed my ass off because I knew this episode intensely.

  • BOOYASKASHA!

    RIGHT IN THE FACE!

  • RAMPAGE

  • Did you watch Regis this morning?

  • @TheCzar17 I just saw Archer do this, and I could not stop laughing. For me, it was the best part of an awesome episode.

  • @TheCzar17 BOOYASHAKA!!!!

  • BooYahKasha!!!

  • SURVEY SAYS?

  • Archer referenced this!

  • MAGNUM F...... RULES!!!

  • This episode, and Memories are forever from season two are my favourites. And since they are both double episodes they are both two of my favourite movies.

  • Amen....wouldn't that be awesome to see the ORIGINAL cast in a movie.......even today......I would love to see where they would have taken the characters. I would love to see Magnum as a retired Admiral (since some may recall that he rejoined the Navy in the final episode). Higgins aka Robin Masters, Maybe TC and RIck become civilian contract mercenaries in the Iraq or Afghan War.

  • MY GOD, what ana amazing ending that was! I remember seeing that the first time it aired as a kid. My brother andI were yelling at the screen for him to plug Ivan. It looked like hewas going to let him go but man, nobody could have guessed the episode would end like that. All these years later, nobody's been able to end ANY show like that one did.

Great job posting this. Thanks, haven't seen this in years!

  • @Willysmb44 Miami Vice...Crockett blows away the man who murdered his wife and old partner...almost as good.

  • they always get some handsome tall swede to play the russian bad guy like dolph lundgren in rocky, who coincidentally was also a champion judo fighter like bo svenson here.

  • @swastikausa Karate not Judo!

  • Bo Svenson Rules. Heja Göteborg.

  • @PlanetOfPeril Loved "Walking Tall"

  • Thanks Magnum (Tom) for what you did for all Viet nam Vets !!

  • Ivan the russian guy blew up magnums ferrari earlier killing a friend of magnums in the car, just before the car blew up he said "we should go up to polly lookout and watch the sunrise" and then the car blew up as he started it.

  • What is the significance of the question "did you see the sun rise this morning"?

  • Because it was his last sunrise.

  • I'm seriusly lucky Magnum is still on TV in Holland, to bad I missed this episode though, gotta love Magnum :D

  • Damn I miss this show. This one's right up there with the episode of Magnum lost at sea. Awesome.

  • I STILL remember that moment in time when I first saw this on its' first airing. Its one of those moments like the ending of "inner light" STNG or "Baby Blues" on Miami Vice where you just went "woh!"

  • @samspayed My best friend & I watched the show on a regular basis. I have to admit, the ending of this scene caught us both off guard. But Ivan had it coming!

  • Ive seen inner light and youre correct but whats so great about baby blues. Ive never seen it?

  • Best. T.V.. Moment. EVER.

  • This was the first episode I ever saw I was stationed in the Philippines and was at a party when Magnum shot Ivan I jumped up with joy, I never expected to see a hero shoot his adversary in cold blood .Everyone at the party looked at me in surprise

  • without a doubt, the best Magnum P.I. episode ever. I remember when it aired, you new as soon as he asked the question, he was going to do it. Blew me away, it was awesome!

  • Ivan got exactly what he deserved from TM!!!

  • Hey! Could you please post the whole episode of "The Pleasure Principle" from Season 8 if you have it. I really enjoyed that episode.

  • great show..i use to watch for the car..but i got to say he was good..funny..i have not seen this in long time..ty

  • I wish more Magnum's were like this - a bit more serious... Goofy was good, but not all the time!!!

  • We need more Magnums nowadays, he always delivers.

  • Best episode ending ever. Magnum kills Ivan in cold blood.... That's what made this show so awesome. Magnum was playful, but knew when to use deadly force to get things done.

  • Great ending, one of the best ones ever. TV doesn't have those kinds of balls anymore. "Oh, you can't kill someone like that. People will be offended." BS. That ending rocks!

  • This was the best episode of Magnum ever. Actually it was the 2nd part of a double episode. Mac "I think his name was" was blown up in the Ferrari in the previous episode.

As a kid we did not have a video recorder, so I recorded this whole episode on a tape recorder. I still have it somewhere. I used to play the recording and see the scene in my head. This is the 1st time I have seen this scene in 25+ years. Thanks

  • this episode and Memories are Forever the were the best

  • EPIC just EPIC ending to an episode

  • i remember this episode when i was a kid.

this ending caused a controversy back then because magnum killed ivan in COLD BLOOD. it was a dramatic ending! they sure dont make tv like then used to..everything now is so dumbed down i have all 8 seasons on dvd, and this show never gets old.

but if you saw this episode and saw what ivan did to T.C. ivan had it coming!

    magnum rocks!!

  • I watched this episode with my dad over 20 years ago. I said did Magnum shoot him? And dad responded yes he did! My favorite episode of all time!!!

  • Gives me goosebumps every time.

  • Best episode and best ending to any TV show ever!

  • ...of all the episodes, this was Magnum's best line and greatest scene...HAPPY 64TH BIRTHDAY TOM--YOU ARE STILL A SEXY HUNK. :-)

  • Def. a moment I wont ever forget...thanks for posting this!

  • WHAT A BADASS!

  • This serie had a alot of crappy episodes, but this episode was great. Also "Death and Taxes" directed by Tom Selleck himself was also great.

  • This is one of the only scenes that really stuck with me from the series. I don't know what it was about it but it just struck a cord. This was so well done!

  • I can't believe this aired 26 years ago. That scene stayed with me since I saw it on it's first run. Genius moment in an outstanding series. Sheer quality.

  • this was a great scene no doubt, one of my favs from the series. but there was another one and i may have this messed up in my mind, so someone correct me if wrong, please! but in the episode where the cast goes back to Vietnam and as they are coming down a river on a boat all camo'ed out and loaded for Charlie. i think it was Cream's White Room playing in the background? or was it a CCR tune? anyway, that scene had a numbing effect upon myself! hope i didn't mess it up too bad from memory?

  • Yeah, that was with Robert Forster. They went back to Vietnam to find JJ Quincannon. It was a 2 parter. Higgins got shot and had to have a blood transfusion via a bamboo straw. Can't remember what season that was.

  • Season 3 premiere.

  • I saw this episode on tv the other night...still gave me chills!!!

  • Ivan....did you see the sunrise this morning?....better than Go ahead, make my day

  • WHAT A GREAT FUCKING SHOW!

  • God I love this show. This was a great scene. Tom Selleck rules! I hear they're making a Magnum movie with Matthew McConaughey. Um no thanks. I'd much rather see a a Magnum movie with Tom and the rest of the group reunited today! There's only one Thomas Magnum and that's Tom Selleck!

  • @VMars221 amen!

  • @stratmandar

    well done...

    thomas!

  • The greatest scene of the entire series. You have to understand how shocking this was for the early 1980s detective TV show format.

  • Awesome Scene. From The Best Show EVER!!

  • the BEST scene in the whole series!

  • Still gives me chills all these years later...

  • I wish they had this show online somewhere I mis sit

  • la più bella scena di Mmagnum PI, l'episodio più bello che purtroppo non si trova perché nei DVD non l'hanno pubblicato... ci sarà un perché????

  • Chilling. Probably the best thing in all of Magnum PI!

  • Agreed... a moment I remember well. What an episode. The only other scene that was even close was the episode when Michelle came back for the 1st time and there was the shootout in little Hanoi that mirrored the dream he had earlier in the episode. Is that anywhere on YouTube?!

  • that and the one with frank sinatra.

  • thank you for this. this is the most bad ass scene they ever did for the show. it doesn't seem like much compared to TV today, but it was very dark for its time.

  • Too bad that Magnum PI hasn´t been on german tv for years.

  • what Ep is this? i'm thinking og getting into Magnum P.I. eps after I finish Knight Rider

  • Season Three Episode One

  • Great show, great episode, great ending. The freeze frame timing here with the image of the muzzle flash and Magnum behind it was perfect.

  • Thank you for posting this clip. Very powerful. To those not familar with this scene, it would be worth the time/efford to obtain and view the entire episode.

  • best scene in the whole series.

  • Wow, I thought I was the only wierdo who has loved this seen since 85' (or whenever it was aired). I swear this ending scene has played in my mind countless times over the last 20 or so years. That's what you call powerful T.V.

  • I still get a chill every time I watch this!

  • Ivan underestimated the part about honor fair play.. Mac was Magnums honor and fair play. I LOVED this scene !!!

  • i want a clip of the episode with frank sinatra

  • I remember this episode/scene when it aired in high school. This was debated for days on end in my classes due to how intense it was!!!!

  • This is great, thanks for posting.

Any chance of someone posting the entire episode? I SO want to see it again.

  • one of the greatest scenes, ever aired on tv !! on greatest show, too boot !!

  • perhaps the most intense scene!!

  • One of the most intense moments on Magnum. I remember watching it the first time and it still sends chills up and down my spine. Magnum was a great show and Selleck is still going stong.

  • WOW

  • I also remember seeing that as a kid. One of the most memorable scenes of 80's TV. Anybody want to load Miami Vice "This is want this is what you get" scene with Fiona. It would be appreciated.

  • I remember watching this first time it was shown. You never thought Magnum would do it. What a great TV moment. Thanks for putting it on youtube.

  • Holy Shit!

  • What a powerful moment. At that time, heroes on TV didn't murder people. It wasn't done. I remember seeing this when I was a kid, and it really shocked me.

But Ivan had to be stopped, and it fit Magnum's character that he would be the one to do it.

  • auntiehill " At that time, heroes on TV didn't murder people. It wasn't done. I remember seeing this when I was a kid, and it really shocked me. "

So true. Today, some heroes seems worst than the evil guys and gals. I don't watch most of today movies and Tv.

And I kept away from my kid(s) most of it , even kids-programs. Some are horrible, but in kid "format".

  • I was an avid Magnum pi watcher and this episode ending was startling that Thomas would do that..but I am glad he did..Justice was served..by the way,,Mr Selleck is still very much a "HUNK" (sigh)
