  • cleverbot brought me here..

  • I don't think her inner soul has changed. Nobody's soul changes I think.

  • TA 6.4food and9.4men trying ta wine dine and feed

    X

  • Personally, I think that Tori Amos will always be eternally fantastic in ever way, shape, and form. Her emotional connection with the music and the way she lets her soul shine through her performance is absolutely breathtaking. She will forever be one of my heroes and inspirations. She fucking ROCKS.

  • Someone enlighten me please as I have not read up on this and don't know if this has been discussed here, but the song is just about her hating someone and being jealous of them to the extent of what the song is talking about right? Did she base this off of a real person?

  • @newkid22 This song is part of a trilogy about women betraying each other (Cornflake Girl, Bells for Her, and The Waitress) This song is about being two-faced. In front of the boys she's "living kindness" but when she's around other women she inspires hate, in Tori especially. She thought she was a peacemaker until she met this waitress, who is supposed to be her equal.

  • @aqueregia Aah, I understand it now. Thank you for the explanation, aqueregia! The lyrics of this song always fascinated me.

  • OMG I can't believe how much a wanted to kill some bitch just cause I'm jealous of her, but fuck it man, I'm listening to TORI BABE!!!!!!!

    TORI RU-RU-RU-RU-RU-RU-LE-LE-LE-LESSSSSSSSSSSS

  • I'm gonna go where she goes!!!!

  • I do think it's lovely that she's happy with a child and married. But she really should stop getting her Husband to play guitar on her albums. It ruins things

  • She has made great music and now she has a family. Good for her. She doesn't live for our entertainment.

  • such a rocker! love this woman

  • fuckin classic. love this. sooooo much.

  • if i could go back in time. i'd go back to these 7 minutes. god i wish i was born in the 80s instead of the 90s

  • she likes cornflakes or wot?

  • I got tears in my eyes. I love her!

    What a performance - aah!

  • I think Tori would want to cut you if she heard you making comments about her appearance.

  • Favorite Tori song and vid all in one! She do need to get some meat back on her bones. Ultra-hot at this weight!

  • I love Tori. The one thing she does that I don't like is the whipping the hair around. Other than that I wouldn't change a thing.

  • i believe in peace bitch.

  • check out the guy in the crowd at 3:30 with the bunny ears. priceless.

  • One of the BEST Live Tori songs ever

  • It's so amazing how very few "performers" actually sing live, and Tori just sounds freaking amazing throughout the entire show.

  • my lovely tori!!! she's one of the most impressive musicians nowadays.

  • TORI AMOS RULES!!

  • LOVE TORI !! LMAO @3:16-3:19 as she try's to not let the demon out!!

  • She is so sexy!!!! and talented of course.

  • love it <3

  • fantastic. Glastonbury is still a favorite from her

  • She is so powerful in her music.

  • Such an amazing, strong performance. It's hard to find someone that puts this much energy into each of their songs!

  • Tori needs to gain a few pounds back. I like when she looked like this.

  • I completely agree, amazing performance here and nobody had boo to say about her body! I love her here, then and now..

  • This comment (about her looking better when she weighed a little more) makes me almost as happy as the fact that it's garnered 7 thumbs up;-)

  • Tori would cut you for making comments about her appearance.

  • @Smoohah YES!

  • I could marry Tori Amos here. This is one of those performances that you don't want to end.

If all waitresses could inspire melody magic like this, I'd tip more often!!

  • Pardon my french, but I fucking love this girl. Cleverfool, I totally agree. This is the Tori that I fell in love with too. I mean she is still great, but I loved her more angry albums like LE, until FTCH.

  • She is THE girl. Seriously I've neen listening to her for 6 years now and I still listen to her every DAY...It's like a disease. But a one I don't want to get rest..

  • wow. sounds like version on "to venus and back". mesmerizing. she is evil hypnotist no doubt.

  • I adore this song. It's difficult to describe the impact it had on me and how simple yet powerful the lyrics are. It unsettles human emotions in a positive way.

"I believe in peace, bitch" is a line that will remain trapped in my mind for many years to come.

In my book, Tori is one of the most beautiful creatures on Earth.

    *Sigh* ♥

  • Can you get her live glastonbury stuff on CD/DVD anywhere?

  • It's still my all time fav Tori-quote: "I believe in Peace, Bitch!" great vid, THANKS FOR POSTING!

    Love to Tori!

    Indra

  • tori amos live: TOLL!!!

aber... irgendwie sieht sie schlecht aus, ist sie da krank?!

  • my bad it's under the pink

  • Very nice... I love this. Really amazing, gives me goose bumps too :P Anyone know what album this song is on?

  • Under The Pink.

  • I get goose bumps "everytime" I watch her do this song. I love it!!! Thnaks for the post.

  • Damn, I can't even type correctly when I hear her....she gets me all jacked-up...lol

    *Thanks

  • Did she ever film a video for this song or is it live perfomances only? I'd be curious to see that one lol

  • I dont think there is a video for 'The Waitress' but you should be curious to watch 'God' from the same album

  • She is amazing live, so many artists are lip syncing now it's refreshing to see someone stand up and truely perform.

  • This is Poughkeepsies right?

  • glastonbury 98

  • yeah i noticed that afterward. i wuz like grrrrrrrrrr. lol

  • This is the Tori I fell in love with!!! I miss her sometimes.

  • me too... everytime i watch a video from a concert from the last tour.. or everytime i listen to the new songs... she just kind of... become.. "another" person.

  • This song has a lot more meaning for me, now that I'm a Marine. It's like:

"I'm utterly capable of hurting you, but I won't, because I'm bigger than that."

But, man, if you cross me with the wrong look on your face...watch out. lol.

  • i believe tori is one of the few artist who sound better live then in studio

  • This is my favorite Tori Amos song..It rocks, especially live..

  • WOW....ok....I admit, I've never even heard of Tori Amos before (just found this by accident here today)...but let me say this...shades of Led Zeppelin, for sure!

    Awesome!

  • She's a big Led fan, haha. She's met Robert Plant too :) She loved him growing up! So, makes sense that there's some influence. I love Tori Amos.

  • I love how she just "let's go". Let's the music and piano take over. She's an amazing artist and expressionist. Watching someone like Tori, who has such drive and is so passionate about music, is just an incredible experience. Thank you Tori.

  • OMG this song cracks me up. I work at Denny's... enough said.

  • well said

  • Hahahahaaaa... Very nice.

  • Tori was better live in the early years..SHe had more sincerety then..Now her stage shows seem more like a routine..I would love to her her like 10 years ago..Her music was definitely on top then.

  • i agree with you. after pele things changed. well she got married and few year later had a kid. those are all things that can change a person. well really things changed when they released pele with remixed versions of songs just to sell more cds. i still dont own that version.

  • Never heard of that cd. I don't think it came out here. I never would have bought it anyways..

My Pele-cd have a remix version of Professional Widow though..Maybe that goes for all the releases..

  • She never should have gotten married and had a kid..;-) (evidently it changes an artist..Maybe the artistic creativity loses a bit of its magic). Actually I was wondering about this not long ago (when it comes to Tori)..

  • well she went from 90% of her energy going to music to.........

30% to husband 40% to kid and 30% to music. less time = less creative.

  • Yeah..Makes sense..

  • You think time and energy to husband and children=less creativity? perhaps you are both deprived of the experience. Then again, perhaps you would know no better.

  • Why wouldn't it be? She has less time to think about art and being creative. And they say that suffering is the best source of art..Maybe she's more happy now than she were before..:)

  • @temporarydive I adore Tori Amos during this era, but Jesus, that's a little selfish on your part. It's like fans of Trent Reznor wishing he was back on the drugs because his artistry has suffered somewhat since The Fragile. More than anything I want Tori to be *happy*, and If having a kid and getting married are the things that bring her happiness, fulfillment and peace on Earth, so be it. It doesn't change what she has accomplished.

  • @livefortheday THANK YOU!

god people, you need to realize that the reason she changed is that SHE GOT MARRIED AND HAD A KID. you know what that means? she got happy! her negative energy that she put into songs and made them passionately creepy is gone. how dare a self/artist-respecting fan say that they wish they she never would have gotten married or had kids? that's a terrible thing to say.

  • @antuonchris Yes! Thank you for that, totaly agree!

  • @temporarydive anyone who is a TRUE Tori fan loves the fact that she got exactly what she wanted. She gave us TONS of fantastic music. It's only fair that she gets to live the rest of her dream. That baby is everything she wanted.. you can tell from some of her earlier music... So, GO MOMMY TORI!

  • Released versions? What was remixed, aside from BT's remix of Talula?

Personally, I think Choir Girl is every bit as good as Pele. I like Venus, but it's definitely not as good. SLG had it's moments, but ultimately I think it was just a way to get out of her contract. The album after that was ok. The last album was, IMO, awful.

I avoided the new ablum, because I was so disapointed....finally gave it a listen, and think it's her best album in almost 10 years.

  • IMO =?

I haven't bought it yet..Don't know if it's worth it..Have a tight budget these days..But maybe I'll buy it on sale..

  • Armand Van Helden did Professional widow and Rabbit in the Moon remixed Precious things.

  • I disagree I think the Plugged tour was her best

  • wow... awesome performance

  • Right this second I believe all that nonsense about being a conduit for music. I am a massive fan, but have found the mystical aspect hard to swallow. Seeing her live I'm thinking it could be true. Who knows? She performs her songs like no one else I have ever seen. Almost like she's making it up as she goes along (bar the basic melody/lyric). Amazing!

  • What do you mean?

  • I have no idea ;D

  • but I believe she is the devil bitch!

  • I believe in peace bitch
