@arian40 It is substrate of some kind.

Without substrate, it is kind of difficult to grow pretty planted aquarium....

@arian40 it was laterite, coconut fibers (like the mulch for outside), peatmoss and I don't know what the last thing in his list was but I think it was plain aquarium gravel. Lots of light (6 20watt lamps and a 25watt), and fast filtration. Had a problem with algae but reduced temp and light and it disappated. Kept mollies, otocinclus species, guppies, a type of shrimp. Hope that helps!

Cara sou novo nesse assunto, já tive aquário, mas o nemo me fez sentir "meio cruel" então decidi fazer um lago razoavelmente grande. então solto a bomba será que essa tal glossos... serve para forrar parte dele, quero um pedaço com pedras, outro com areia bem branca e por fim um tapete bem verde . talvez seja uma utopia , mas preciso ouvir a opinião de que entende

O aparecimento dessas algas, que para você foi um problema, para mim será solução. A quê você atribui o aparecimento delas? Considerando: Iluminação, procedência da água utilizada, materiais da composição do substrato. Qual deles ou quais na sua opinião criam esse ambiente favorável ao aparecimento abundante dessas alga? OBS: Pode parecer estranho, mas preciso de um ambiente assim, tomado por algas, quanto mais melhor. Fica aqui o meu agradecimento pela dica. Abraços.

I dont speak portuguise or nothing, but this everything that stood in this video was what substrate/ soil he used and how he solved an algea problem.

He is got "green water",that is a type off algae.You can get rid off it by do like 50% water change for once a week.You can also do a "black out",means cover your tank with something,so your tank can't get any light for like 3 days.And you also may get some floating plants what he use,they will starve to "death" the algae.Those plants pick up more and faster unused nutrients from the tank.

yeah i understood that part .. he changed half the water for 2 days i think, and reduced the light time to 6h.. but what caused the algea in the first place?

he planted it, just like everyone else does... the things that have to be translated are his tips about how to reduce the algae problem in the first week, which is to reduce the lighting time to 6h/day, partial 50% WC every other day and algae eaters
