they say that if you want to make smooth lines you should ink faster, don't go over the lines slowly, the slower you ink the more likely your lines will be wobbly. when I ink faster they don't come out that good for me that way either so I don't know how to make my lines smoother

@MsBleachFan101 the blue leads I use for scanning my pages. I still work on my manga in traditional way. So I also work with reals screentone. When I scann my stuff in a special way the blue leads will disapear and I don´t have to erease the pencils ^^

when you put black ink on the tip of the copic, the tip obviously gets dirty and darker...so then, is the copic ruined forever (this sounds really apocalyptic) or next time you use it it's as good as new?

@KAIJUFREAK116 Copic markers usually run about $6.00 each, the Copic multiliner pens a little less. Copic ink makes other ink, such as indian, runs so you have to get the proper type of pen. Sakura Pigment pens won't run as much, but I would still suggest getting a copic pen.

The music is still to loud. I never said the drawing was bad. Do not put words into a response that was not said by me. I did not comment on the drawing. Just the video production. So, I take it that the outline that is faint on the drawing board is also done Copic marker? Which Copic Marker please. The black ink line over the Outline is Copic marker too? So all pencils and the outline of the drawing was Copic Markers correct? The Drawing is fine.

I dont know if im not letting dry or if its the pencils im using, i am just using average mechanical pencils. anime is the style of the style-less. granted there are some progressive anime illustrators, but for the most part, anime is the joke of the illustration world. alot of wannabe artists choose it because it is simplistic. 2 big ass eyes, triangle shaped head, congrats you are now an anime artist.

Hmmm, two quick things.

1. the tips of the lighter colors get stained darker when you use the black/darker marker to make darker highlights/shadows of the same color. So my question to you is, how do you clean them again? Do you just color on a spare page until it gets back to it's original color or is there a way to actually clean them?

2. It has been pointed out before but the song is "Bring me to life" by Evanescence. :<

Other than that, great tutorial and I hope to inplement this soon. ^^

@ChibiFlare You are correct. To clean off the tip, just use it a bit until the color comes out clean. The actual nib might remained stained, but the color coming out should be correct.

@ChibiFlare Actually, you may want to be careful with that. Copics are made specially to do that...so you may ruin a different marker. I'm not saying don't experiment, but be careful, since markers tend to be rather pricey.

@ChibiFlare Im not sure. I would have to do some research on the marker. I got to open up one of my copics today to refill it and got a good look at the inside. Rather then it being an open compartment for the ink, it looked like there was a sponge inside that held a majority of the ink. I think that's the reason they dont get contaminated when you touch them to another marker tip.

How long did you wait after inking to start colouring? I'm not sure if it's the pen I use or if I'm just not waiting long enough, but sometimes when i colour, I touch an inked line, and it will smudge the ink. It usually happens with skin tone colours, so their light coloured nibs get stained at the tip too... Is there a way to avoid this? Hope you could help me! Please and thank you~

@nookybar if you use a copic multiliner it would probably be wise to wait around 5 or 10 minutes, however if u use copic's bleedproof paper you shouldnt need to wait long at all, maybe 30 seconds tops :)

Why do you use a blue pencil for drawing, is there a reason or not?

is pretty obvious. The blue pencil is to make a very clean and light sketch so when you outline over it, the lineart will be the only visible thing =]
