@destrierofdark yes, i know what black metal people look like, but think about this: their corpse paint is special, it has to do with traditional Taoist legends and stuff, like the pianist (forgot her name at the moment and too lazy to check..) she wears one of those spell,s which iin chinese miythology, is used to reanimiate dead people to turn them into vampires (in chinese mythology, vampires are the equivalent of a mix of demon and zombie... each has a story, check it out on wikipedia

Sounds like an asian Cradle of Filth. The vocals particularly, he sounds alot like Dani, although he doesnt do Dani's signature.....demon squeal? that's the only way I can describe it anyway. Very awesome and refreshing band, though. Their look and sound is original too.

Really? I don't think COF's lyrics are about ancient Chinese mystical stories. COF doesn't play on traditional Chinese instruments like the erhu. Overall: The melodies of Chtonic are far more oriental oriented. Considering this plus the fact that they are from Taiwan, this is amazing music.

Just, great. As a fan of both eastern traditions/music and metal music, this just blows me away. (Sounds a little like CoF on some parts, but I prefer this, totally.)

The video is pretty stylish too. I like how they look. Not over-the-top (Ex. Dimmu) and still they look badass, for real.
