Both movies are now on Netflix steaming... (Waxworks 1 and 2) I watched this one every week in high school. Still one of my favorite comedy horror movies. Still laugh uncontrollably when the werewolf pops off Sir WIlfred's head at the end as he exclaims "Oh my goodness"... absolutely hilarious.
this scene, the werewolf scene, and the marquis du sade scene are the best parts of the movie. I really wish that instead of combining them into a mystical wax museum movie they would have made actuall feature length movies out each of them. those would have been some kick ass horror movies.
I wish Miles O' Keeffe had been shirtless, in shorts and with golden necklace and bracelet. He would have looked cooler. Anybody knows what happened to him?
2:30 Steak tar -tar oh this scene always sickens me; especially later on in the kitchen when she finds out about the source of their "raw meat" Ack! I first saw this movie when I was 12 but it still gives me the chills. Great to watch it again; Thanks for posting it.
Man, this scene is just like out of a vampire novel. Castellan princes of darkness, Dracula's brides and the innocent mortal who has been invited to dine at their table...classic!
The Count is played b, Miles O'Keefe. He was born in 1954 and he was about 35 when this film was made. He still looks pretty good today and tries to stay in shape.
i have to say i agree that the movie sucks but i blame that simply on the director... but the FIRST book was fairly good for an obssesive vampire that watches someone while they are sleeping.
This... I cannot argue with. But I like Lestat because he's insane and volatile. This guy is all mysterious- I guess its all a matter of taste then. *shrugs*
Lestat was too comical for me. I guess that's what happens when you humanises vampires. When I saw Waxworks I thought the vampire prince was what I wanted a vampire to be, to feel outworldy.
I also loved the family, monsters trying to stay civilised. It's scary how even with their manors and the class setting, you just know there's a monster brewing to come out inside them.

What I love about these vampires is unlike Twilight, they grasp the concept of normal vampires:
They feed on LIFE, not just blood.
AHAHAHAHA just shittin they're sexy.
