And again, if you ask me, I enjoyed Oblivion more than I did Skyrim...I liked the guild quests ,main storyline, soundtrack and and also the gameworld itself (province of Cyrodiil) more than I did any of those in Skyrim...and although Skyrim DID improve in graphics, gameplay and gamedesign, those things dont count to me as much. Skyrim is good game, but overall I was bit dissapointed with it, it wasnt as addictive.

@TheJaCkMaN360 Yes, it is. I have to say, combat and graphics-wise, Skyrim wins. Skyrim also wins for main quest. But for the Fighters Guild, Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood Guild, and Mages Guild quest line, Oblivion wins BY FAR!

If the graphics don't suit you, I suggest you get the PC version to add some top quality graphic mods. There are a bunch of mods to choose. Hope this helped :)

@TheJaCkMaN360 Oblivion for it's time was the best game ever. My opinion Oblivion beats Skyrim. not by Graphics or combat. but story was better much darker mid evil than skyrim. Oblivon had nore skills and spells by far. Music for it was a bit better. only bad things about Oblivion were NPC faces they looked ugly and the there was about 3 voice actors per race. But that never really bothered me. Oblivon had great quest and secrets. the Guilds were better. AND OH IT HAD PATRIC STEWART AS EMPEROR

@thetigergoesroar I highly recommed taht you get Oblivion....though be warned, there are some things in Oblivion that many feel are just so crappy compared to Skyrim...and it's true that for example the leveling system and interface are improved in Skyrim, and so is the combat...but imo the gameworld and musical score (that is REALLY important for me in Elder Scrolls games) was better in Oblivion than in Skyrim.

Anyway give it a chance anyway =) For me Oblivion is THE best RPG

Why do I miss Oblivion. Maybe cause I like how it's a much darker mid evil. than Skyrim don't get me wrong Skyrim is by far better in graphics and has improved sense oblivion. but the story was great in oblivion more spells in magic more skills. Evan morrowind was great. I hope The Elder scrolls 6 will be huge and be darker mid evil.

@wwwdotcomdotedu yea Skyrim was great in fact really great but even though theres no dragons in Oblivion I half to say those Oblivion gates were fun to go through and you had that great battle at Bruma to fight the GREAT OBLIVION GATE and don't forget KAVATCH that was just awesome It was very dark evil and you really feel like a hero bringing the light to save tamriel. Skyrim was to focused on Nords being anything other than a Nord felt awkward Khajiit being a dragon born thats wierd if u ask me

Im planning to give Skyrim another chance in the future, but for me Oblivion's gameworld, musical score and graphics back in 2006 (well I actually played the game in 2007) were just something really special that Skyrim just couldnt beat it.

Both Oblivion and Skyrim has great musical score....but for me the clear winner is still Oblivion...I mean that game has such beautiful songs, just listening to them makes me wanna play Oblivion again and return to Cyrodiil...Skyrim's soundtrack just doesnt have the same effect on me.

So although Skyrim DID improve on many areas compared to Oblivion (refined leveling system,interface, not mobs that appear according to the level of your character) I just loved Oblivion's gameworld so much more

Graphics ofcourse are better in Skyrim since Oblivion was released in 2006. But for me Skyrim wasnt as stunning as Oblivion was back in the day....I mean Oblivion was one of the first REALLY stunning looking games of this current console generation...Skyrim on the other hand, (although certainly beautiful) didnt look nearly as stunning...in 2006 Oblivion was one of the best looking games, in 2011 Skyrim (imo) wasnt. Also I liked lot more the green hills and forests of Cyrodiil for some reason.

I liked lot more the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild quests in Oblivion...sure many people say that if you dont use mods in Oblivion, it's unplayable and that Skyrim without mods is already as great as Oblivion with mods....but I dont think so. I played Oblivion on Xbox360 and I hugely enjoyed it, without any mods.

Skyrim is amazing and I love it, but I do prefer Oblivion's main quest. And there was something magical in playing Oblivion for the first time, and that was sorta gone in Skyrim. And I'm a bit disappointed with Skyrim's thieves guild, but I haven't finished it yet, so we'll see. Both incredible games. Morrowind too :)
