Platoon, Apocalypsys of our days, Bright Shining Lie, Tour of Duty, Full Metall Jacket, Deer Hunter, Platoon leader, Siege of base Gloria, Casualties of war and so on... seen them?
My father served in Nam, 67-69.... he said this was the most realistic movie of nam he seen.... it took him till 1990 give or take a few year to speak to me about it. Im 35 now. Full Metal was more the urban areas, and it was a great movie. Apocalypse Now was also great, but was a fictional story using nam as a back drop. Platoon a good movie, I still watch it, Willem Defoe is the man.
Casualties of War, good movie as well, which Im sure shit like that happened, im surprised Nancy Pelosi hasn't written a screen play about American's slapping some terrorist on the asshole.
Bottom line, is our vets from this war, or "conflict", were treated like shit, and they were drafted. That should never happen again, sure some signed up, but most were 17/18 brought to a jungle, and said fight.
my father also served 198th infantry 3 tours 67-70,2 purple hearts, tons of combat he just turned 60,im only 18 and he still wont talk about it much but he has alot of problem like flashbacks and random yelling and shaking..he volunteered dropped out sr yr..when he came home his first tour 4 people at the airport trapped him spit on him yelled at him threw things at him called him a baby killer and a war pig...they dont know what the hell he went through they dont have the right to judge vets.
Vietnam. . .55,000 US Soldiers dead, 25,000 dead would of been prevented had it not been for heroin. . .Now we have Iraq, but the true conclusion is that in every generation there is a war. . .Sad, but true. . People enjoy to kill. .
The U.S. government don't need a reason to kill. Don't call the soldiers murderers, because they went through fucking hell for their country. It wasn't the soldiers fault. Blame the government, fine, just don't detract from the bravery of the soldiers on both sides.
I was doing business with this guy and when I saw that he had a different economical structure than me and that the wealth where he was from was distributed differently, I decided to kill him.
